MTV ANNOUNCES MILEY CYRUS DOCUMENTARY, PREMIERE DATES FOR NEW DOCU-SERIES "GENERATION CRYO" AND "NURSES" (WORKING TITLE) PLUS PILOT GREENLIGHTS AND "SCREAM" WRITING TEAM AT SUMMER TCA PRESENTATION

"Snooki & JWOWW" and Fall Season of "Awkward" to Debut in October

"Teen Wolf" Winter Season Premieres January 6

"Nikki & Sara LIVE" Returns for a Second Season July 30

BEVERLY HILLS, CA (JULY 26, 2013) - MTV announced today a Miley Cyrus feature documentary, and premieres for docu-series "Generation Cryo" and "Nurses" (working title), in addition to renewals for highly anticipated shows, including "Teen Wolf," the third season of "Snooki & JWOWW" and the fall season of "Awkward." The announcements were among those made today by Susanne Daniels, President of MTV Programming, during the network's presentation at the Summer 2013 Television Critics Association Press Tour.

MTV's one-hour revealing feature film produced by the award winning MTV News and Docs team, will follow Miley Cyrus as she works on her new album and delves deep into the transformation she has experienced over the past few years. Premiering this fall, it follows in the footsteps of similar enlightening documentaries that have featured the likes of such superstars as Lady Gaga, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Brittney Spears and most recently, Demi Lovato.

Additionally, Daniels announced pilot pick-ups of comedies "Faking It" (working title) from Carter Covington ("10 Things I Hate About You," "Greek," and "Hart of Dixie") and "Happyland" (working title) from Ben Epstein and award-winning executive producers, Neil Meron and Craig Zadan ("Smash," "Footloose," "Chicago"). "Faking It" (working title) revolves around two best friends who will do almost anything to fit in and be popular in high school, including pretending to be something they are not. "Happyland" (working title) is a soapy teen comedy which explores the underbelly of one of the country's most popular theme parks and those who work there. Lucy, a cynical teen whose mom makes a living as a fairy tale princess, faces the realities of growing up and falling in love while living in a make believe world.

Daniels also announced Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin ("Criminal Minds," "The Event," and "Revenge") have joined the horror drama pilot as writers for "Scream," which is based on the hugely successful horror film franchise with Dimension Films.

"Generation Cryo" which premieres in November, is a compelling new one-hour docu-drama that explores the issues faced by a new generation of kids coming of age who were conceived via anonymous sperm donors and are redefining what it means to be a family.

"Nurses" (working title) is a new docu-series that will premiere fall of 2013 that follows a group of travel nurses assigned to work at an Orange County hospital for 13 weeks.

"Generation Cryo," "Nurses" (working title), "Snooki & JWOWW" and "Awkward" will also air on MTV channels around the world starting 2014.
