EXES COLLIDE WHEN MTV'S "REAL WORLD: EX-PLOSION" PREMIERES ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15 AT 10 P.M. ET/PT

New York, NY (December 03, 2013) - MTV's "REAL WORLD: EX-PLOSION" is ready to take over the beautiful city of San Francisco when the season premieres on Wednesday, January 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series starts off when seven single strangers, who all have complicated relationships with their exes, move into the "Real World" house to embark on this journey to embrace their freedom. In a first for the franchise, things take a dramatic turn several weeks in when the exes of the original seven roommates surprisingly take the house by storm and move right in. This new living arrangement throws a wrench in the roommates love lives as jealousy, scandal, fights, hookups, breakups and makeups take over the house and everyone has to learn to live with one another.

Meet the cast:

Arielle - Oakland, CA

A rough childhood, and a short stint in foster care, did not keep Arielle from completing her degree at UC Berkeley in Oakland, California. Originally from Vallejo, California and now a Bay Area native, Arielle has had her hands in a little bit of everything from filmmaker to modeling and various startup businesses. Arielle has commitment issues, as she can't seem to stay in a steady relationship especially with her ex-girlfriend Ashley. Intense flirting, dancing and clubbing has held her back from committing to her ex but she doesn't mind hooking up with Ashley from time to time as long as it's on her terms. Sharing is not completely the issue, as Ashley does not mind adding a third party to their sexual soiree. Will Arielle settle down with Ashley once she moves in or will Arielle continue to have issues with commitment?

Ashley C. - San Francisco, CA (Arielle's Ex)

Madly in love with Arielle, Ashley's, a San Francisco local, main goal upon moving into the Real World house is to give her relationship with Arielle another try. Ashley currently works in the restaurant industry. Arielle and Ashley broke up numerous times due to dishonesty and betrayal that Ashley could no longer deal with. Their most recent break up was not caused by Arielle being disloyal but when Arielle decided to leave Ashley high and dry and move back into her parent's house. Despite their rocky relationship history, this Bay Area native wants to settle down with her ex in hopes of eventually getting married to Arielle. Once Ashley moves into the house will she get the commitment she been waiting for?

Cory - Los Angeles, CA

On a journey to do the right thing, Cory complicated his life with multiple women and his inability to express himself. Cory, the football star, lost his athletic scholarship from Ohio Dominican University due to a pregnancy scare with a girl that he was dating. He later discovered that the story was a complete hoax, which led him to leave school with a year left to complete. He has recently moved to Los Angeles from his home in Michigan where he now loves working as a personal trainer at a national gym. Back home, Cory has an ex-girlfriend Lauren whom he has dated on and off since the seventh grade. Their stormy relationship has resulted in ongoing issues with cheating, jealousy, explosive tempers, and crazy arguments. Cory was less than thrilled to find out his ex was joining him this season on the Real World, since he already started forming a friends with benefits relationship with roommate Jenny. Will Cory be able to make up with his ex-girlfriend and form a friendship or more with her or does he find himself so attracted to Jenny that he wants to let Lauren go?

Lauren - Grand Rapids, MI (Cory's Ex)

Her explosive temper is the main reason that she and Cory are exes. Although, Cory has given Lauren reason not to trust him with his cheating and lies, Lauren still believes there is hope for a future together and that they can make their relationship work. Quitting her job at a hair salon in Brooklyn, Lauren couldn't be more eager to join the Real World to reunite with Cory. Her excitement was short lived upon her arrival into the house because Cory was starting to bond with roommate Jenny and Lauren complicates his "friends with benefits" relationship. Will this aspiring hair salon owner find love in the end and have a friendship with her on again off again ex?

Jay - Bronx, NY

Jay is the classic womanizing heartthrob, or so he thinks, who doesn't shy away from conflict. He works as an emcee and a club promoter where he spends most of his time omitting the truth to pick up girls and ultimately getting them to do whatever he desires. Jay has been dating his girlfriend Jenna for almost two years and although the relationship is off and on, Jay doesn't seem to want to settle down and continues his "player" ways. Jay has never really left his hometown of the Bronx and with his NY attitude hitting San Francisco these ladies better watch out. With 60,000 followers on Twitter and Instagram that he always flirts with he is constantly in the doghouse with Jenna. Yet, this heartthrob knows the right things to say to avoid getting caught. But once Jenna moves into the house will Jay stop the flirting with other girls? Will Jay and Jenna move towards making it official - AGAIN?

Jenna - Wantagh, NY (Jay's Ex)

Jenna trusts her man and no one else, not even his 60,000 followers that he constantly flirts with on social media, is going to change that! Blinded by her boyfriend's sweet talk, Jenna wants Jay to commit and call her his girlfriend. Outside of her love life, Jenna is an aspiring model that has applied to be in Playboy Plus and landed a second casting interview. Jenna moves into the house to get closer to Jay, but will be in for a rude awakening when she realizes that Jay has been less than innocent with the women of San Francisco. Will she bare it all for the love of her own playboy Jay?

Jenny - Los Angeles, CA

This ready-to-scrap rebel is loud, brassy and not willing to hold back; Jenny is passionate and will not let anyone take advantage of her. She moved from Missouri to Los Angeles to pursue acting and singing. Jenny continues to put one foot in front of the other to make it in the big city, but has come across a lot of people trying to play her and lie to her about taking her career to the next level. Prior to leaving Missouri, Jenny had a serious boyfriend of four years that she met while working at a club in her hometown. Brian has been there for Jenny through the tumultuous times in their relationship. Despite being in a long distance relationship, her sex drive and Brian's empty promises of moving to LA has left her longing for love from guys AND girls since her arrival in Tinsel Town. Jenny's flirtatious behavior including hooking up with roommate Cory right after they met threatens the future of her relationship with Brian. Jenny is completely shocked to find Brian moved into the house when she gets back from a trip with the roommates having just slept with Cory for the past couple nights. Will she clean up her act and make it work with Brian or has she moved so far past him that she will never land the part?

Brian - Kansas City, MO (Jenny's Ex)

Brian's dedication to his ex-Jenny is what prompted him to move into The Real World House; he wants to make his relationship work despite all that they have gone through. The personal trainers and personal fitness models past attempts to make amends with Jenny has failed as the two have decided to stay single. Once Brian moves into the house, he becomes close friends with fellow housemate Cory who shares many of the same interests including having the hots for his ex-girlfriend Jenny. How will Brian handle his twisted love triangle with his ex-girlfriend and new friend?

Thomas - Fort Worth, TX

A troublemaker by nature, Thomas loves to create conflict by coercing his friends into doing obscene things. He is very blunt and doesn't care if he speaks his mind even if it hurts others. His extreme competiveness can sometimes make others perceive him as a self-absorbed jock. Thomas' sex life blossomed when he lost his virginity to his high school sweetheart, Hailey. The two were first time lovers although there is some doubt that it was Hailey's first time - which was a huge issue for him because he wanted to lose his virginity to another virgin. Thomas' twin brother blew the lid off Hailey's little secret of her not losing her virginity to Thomas. Thomas finds new love in the house with roommate Jamie but their relationship is extremely rocky as they are always trying to one up each other. With ex Hailey coming into the house, she complicates things as she feels like Thomas has downgraded himself to be with Jamie and will do anything to get him back. The couple has had a few breakups and makeups in the past but are they willing to rekindle their relationship and put aside all the bad and focus on the good?

Hailey - Arlington, TX (Thomas' Ex)

Although, Hailey does not want to be associated with Thomas' obnoxious tendencies, she has a soft spot in her heart for him and still hopes that they can be together. Although, she is extremely close with his family and attends the same university as him, they have not been officially dating for about two years. Hailey moves into the house to give her relationship with Thomas another try but she is completely unaware of his trysts with roommate Jamie. Will their teenage love prevail over his roommate fling?

Jamie - Houston, Texas

This tattooed hottie is a hot head troublemaker and is willing to confront any issue head on which sparks an early feud with roommate Ashley. Jamie is originally from Pflugerville, Texas. As she describes it's "a mix of country and ghetto." Her rough upbringing set her in a whirlwind of turmoil. Jamie is not shy about expressing her sexuality and her desires are met when she starts a relationship up with roommate Thomas. As they try to keep their sexual relationship a secret from the roommates, Jamie and Thomas continue to fight about their status. Jamie's ex-boyfriend decided not to move into the Real World house since he was on tour with his band, although he does regret breaking things off with Jamie. Will Jamie's attitude towards life keep her from finding love? Once Hailey starts making a pull for Thomas, will Jamie back down or fight back?

Ashley M. - San Francisco, CA

This pageant queen beauty is a force to reckon with - her stunning looks and tough personality are all she needs to get the attention that she craves from her numerous male friends. A San Francisco transplant, originally from West Virginia, Ashley's bubbly personality and her connection to all of the late night hot spots were welcomed by the roommates, but after some time she clashed with a few of them as they began to question who Ashley really was - especially Jamie. Will the roommates give this party girl another chance or leave her floating off into the San Francisco sunset?
