The New 9-Year and 10-Year Agreements Extend the Relationship through 2022/23 and 2023/2024

ABC and dick clark productions have extended their broadcast agreements for the "American Music Awards" for nine years and "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest" for ten years. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent ratings success of both specials. The show also spiked 86% with Teens 12-17 to score a 9-year high. "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" 2014 delivered its largest audience since 2000 attracting an average audience of 22.8 million viewers.

"We're thrilled to extend our partnership with dick clark productions," said Paul Lee. "They have been a member of our family for many years, and these specials are key to our network's success."

"We enjoy a tremendous relationship with ABC which has resulted in significant ratings growth in both events and trendsetting breakthroughs in our approach," commented Mike Mahan, President of dick clark productions. "We are happy the relationship between ABC and dcp will continue for many years to come"

As previously announced in October of 2013, Ryan Seacrest has extended his deal to continue to host and executive produce "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest." His deal runs through 2017.
