POPULAR DOCUMENTARY SERIES "OUR AMERICA WITH LISA LING" TO PREMIERE ITS FINAL SEASON ON OWN

Last Season Kicks Off with "Fighting Satan" Episode Thursday, May 29 at 10 PM ET/PT

Los Angeles - OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network's documentary series "Our America with Lisa Ling," hosted by award-winning journalist and author Lisa Ling, returns to the network for its final season on Thursday, May 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

After 44 episodes, the acclaimed series --- known for its thought-provoking look at American life and in-depth explorations of the nation's most controversial issues --- will cap its last season with 10 one-hour episodes. With new topics including gun violence in Philadelphia, ADHD in American families, the largest foster care system in the country, criminal informants, the HIV epidemic in the African American community and the emotional story of a woman held captive for months, the new season features some of the most powerful episodes in the series' four-season history.

This season of "Our America" will also feature updates on past episodes. Lisa follows-up with three individuals on personal journeys to change their gender, as well as two young women originally featured on an episode about teen mothers. In addition, she revisits the controversial case of registered sex offender, Travis Iosue, who spent 16 years in prison for touching the breast of a young girl.

"It has been an honor to be part of the launch and success of OWN and I am exceptionally grateful to the network and to Oprah for allowing me to produce the show of my dreams," said host Lisa Ling. "I have never been more proud of anything I've ever done in my career and hope that our shows have enriched people and provoked them to think differently and with compassion about those who inhabit OUR AMERICA."

"Over the past three years, 'Our America' has cast a bright light into dark places, raised awareness of some of our country's most controversial issues and provided a voice to those who are often not heard," said Sheri Salata, president, OWN. "Lisa Ling's top-notch journalistic work is the best in the industry, and we can't wait to see her soar in her next chapter," added Erik Logan, president, OWN.

The season premiere of "Our America with Lisa Ling" is titled "Fighting Satan." (Thursday, May 29 at 10 PM ET/PT). Many Americans believe that the devil is alive and well, which has sparked a growing movement in churches to fight him head on. Host Lisa Ling travels to Georgia and Florida to visit ministries that practice "deliverance" - where faith and the power of Christ are called upon to cast Satan's demons from the emotionally tormented.

"Our America with Lisa Ling" is produced by part2 pictures. It is executive produced by Lisa Ling, Amy Bucher and David Shadrack Smith.
