Team Coco to Launch Comedy Record Label in June With Debut Album from Comedian Ian Edwards

Team Coco is set to launch a brand new comedy record label this summer, beginning with the release of the debut stand-up album from comedian Ian Edwards. 100% Half Assed was recorded at the world famous La Jolla Comedy Store on March 8, 2014, and will be released in June 2014. The concept for the new record label was born of an organic desire to help shine a spotlight on rising comedians while allowing them more creative control and a greater stake in the success of the release.

Over the past 20 years, Conan O'Brien has used his late-night program as a supportive platform for groundbreaking stand-up comedy. Since debuting in 2010 on TBS, CONAN has featured more performances from stand-up comedians than any other late night program on television. In addition to inviting many talented comics to perform on CONAN, Team Coco has produced comedy specials like Team Coco Presents: The Conan Writers Live and has spotlighted some of the show's favorite comedians on CONAN After Hours, hosted by Pete Holmes.

Ian Edwards' unique perspective, creative use of language and ability to blend stand-up and sketch comedy in his performances make him the perfect choice to launch the Team Coco comedy label.

In previous years, Ian wrote for shows such as Saturday Night Live and Cartoon Network's The Boondocks, was a regular cast member on season six of MTV's hit show Punk'd and performed stand-up on shows such as The BBC's The World Stands Up, HBO's Bad Boys of Comedy and The Comedy Death Ray album. He has also had jokes featured in The New York Post and Time Out LA. In addition, Ian has been invited to perform at some of the most prestigious comedy and music festivals in the world, including Montreal and Chicago Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, HBO's Aspen Comedy and Arts Festival, Edinburgh, Melbourne, SXSW, Bridgetown, San Francisco Sketchfest, Moontower Comedy Festival and Traverse City Winter Comedy Arts Festival, Michael Moore and Jeff Garlin's film festival.
