DISNEY-ABC ANNOUNCES NEW SYNDICATED DAYTIME TALKER WITH TYRA BANKS FOR 2015

Tyra to Host and Executive Produce Daily Lifestyle Talk Show from Los Angeles

BURBANK, CA. -- Supermodel, business woman, producer, and media mogul Tyra Banks will host and executive produce a new daily lifestyle talk show beginning in 2015, it was announced today by Disney-ABC. Tyra, an icon and trusted name in the fashion and beauty space, will lead a team of lifestyle experts on a wide-range of topics. Incorporating Tyra's remarkable social media reach of more than 28 million followers across all platforms, as well as her digitally connected co-hosts, the show will offer a true cross-platform experience. The yet-to-be named nationally syndicated show will broadcast from Los Angeles. It will be produced by Disney-ABC's Summerdale Productions with Tyra Banks as executive producer, and distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.

Capitalizing on the daytime audience's tremendous appetite for lifestyle content, Tyra and her team will provide daily takeaway that is innovative, informative, and accessible. From fashion and beauty to home and entertaining to empowerment and individual enterprise, the show will motivate viewers to improve and enhance their lives by providing cutting edge guidance. Tyra will also welcome celebrities, internet influencers, experts and everyday people to share their own knowledge across a wide-range of topics that are important to the daytime audience.

"Tyra is an enormous and vibrant talent with widespread appeal and we're eager to introduce her new lifestyle show that will incorporate her personal message of self-confidence to the syndication marketplace," said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic Television.

"Tyra is truly unique in that she is both aspirational and extremely relatable to women of all ages," added Lisa Hackner, executive vice president, Daytime & Syndicated Programming, ABC Entertainment Group. "With an extraordinary social media following and legions of fans built over her years on television, Tyra is more relevant than ever. She is the ideal personality to infuse lifestyle content with fresh energy, humor, and the practical information the daytime audience craves."

"The fire to inspire women and help them to blaze new paths fiercely burns inside of me," commented Tyra. "I'm excited to be partnering with Disney-ABC to usher in a new era of lifestyle, beauty and entertainment that will inspire women to be the CEO of their lives via honesty, humor and the newest tips and tricks without being intimidating or precious. To my fierce fam of future viewers: I can't wait to shake up daytime TV together. I have a lot of information to give and still lots to learn. Let's do it!"

Tyra Banks Bio:

Expanding the definition of beauty is something Tyra has always believed in, as a supermodel and as a super-businesswoman. Six modeling agencies rejected her before she was signed at the age of 15 years old. Now, hundreds of magazine covers and thousands of runways later, Tyra grooms the next generation of models to make their dreams come true. For the last decade, she has been the Creator and Executive Producer of "America's Next Top Model" (ANTM), the first and longest running fashion competition-based reality television series. ANTM currently airs in 186 countries and has 26 international versions that span from "Asia's Next Top Model" to "Africa's Next Top Model."

An original Victoria's Secret angel, Tyra was also the first model to grace the cover of GQ and the first African-American model to be featured on the covers of Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which featured her for two consecutive years, and the Victoria's Secret catalogue. She was named one of Hollywood Reporter's "100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment" and Entertainment Weekly's "25 Smartest in Television." She was honored as one of Glamour Magazine's coveted "Women of the Year," alongside Former U.S. Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Rodham Clinton. She won two Emmy Awards for The Tyra Show, the first show ever to receive the award in the new "Informative" category. Her infamous line, "KISS MY FAT ASS!" made TV Guide Magazine's 60 Greatest Talk Show Moments. She was listed twice on Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" and took the no. 1 spot on Forbes' list of top earning women in primetime for two years in a row. She is the author of a New York Times bestselling book Modelland, as well as one of Fast Company's "100 Most Creative People."

Tyra is CEO of The Tyra Banks Company - a place where beauty meets entertainment. In 2012, she graduated from the Owner/President Management program at Harvard Business School and is a proud alum. She recently developed Fierce Capital, the investment arm of The Tyra Banks Company, which invests in early-stage companies, including firms that are female-led or female-focused. Her passion is the TZONE Foundation, a non-profit organization that invests in young women to help them realize their ambitions and approach life's challenges with fierce determination. The TZONE now takes residence at the Lower Eastside Girls Club Center for Community in New York City and focuses on five core pillars: entrepreneurship, financial literacy, elocution and self-presentation, health and wellness, and self-esteem, beauty and body image.

She's addicted to social media and cosmetics and can even do your makeup like a pro! She loves barbeque, photo apps and freckles, but hates all things chocolate. She's an inventor of words: "SMIZE" (smile with your eyes), "Ty-over" (a Tyra-style makeover) and "H2T" (head to toe).

Tyra believes that perfect is boring, human is beautiful and can't wait for her new, innovative Disney-ABC talk show to debut in 2015!
