NEW YORK, NY - August 7, 2014 - FYI's new half-hour series, "The Feed," features three unique and distinctly opinionated hosts, sharing their take on today's most innovative food trends. Culinary expert Gail Simmons; superstar chef Marcus Samuelsson; and comedian and food writer Max Silvestri anchor a rollicking adventure into the world of culinary and food culture in America. The 6 episode series premieres Thursday, August 21 at 10pm ET on FYI.
Each episode of "The Feed" pits the unlikely combination of these three personalities against each other in unconventional food challenges that allow each competitor to show off their unique perspectives on the food world. Viewers are exposed to the most recent food trends as Gail, Marcus and Max take quirky, fun-spirited competition outside the kitchen and onto the streets of New York City.
The rivalry between each host heats up week by week as they strive to outdo the other with an outrageous and sometimes ingenious innovations. As social media is increasingly occupied with conversations about food, cooking and culinary trends, these three will tackle the hard-hitting topics - everything from the cronut to the ramen burger. The series encourages a whole new outlook on food and how society puts their own spin on everyday kitchen creations.
"The Feed" is produced for FYI by Giant Pirates. Ross Jacobson and Troy Searer are executive producers for Giants Pirates. Gail Simmons and Marcus Samuelsson serve as Executive Producers. Executive producers for FYI are Gena McCarthy and Lauren Wohl.
