"DR. PHIL" LAUNCHES ALL-NEW SEASON ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 WITH RIPPED-FROM-THE HEADLINES EXCLUSIVES EVERY DAY DURING SEASON 13 PREMIERE WEEK

TV's #1-Rated Syndicated Daytime Talk Show Kicks Off Season Premiere Going Deep Inside One of The Most Notorious Unsolved Mysteries of The Decade

(Hollywood, CA - September 4, 2014) - DR. PHIL, television's #1-rated syndicated daytime talk show, returns for its 13th hit season on Tuesday, September 9 (check local listings) with all-new episodes and ripped-from-the-headlines exclusives, kicking off the season with the latest in the shocking story of 35-year-old Robyn Gardner's mysterious disappearance in Aruba, a case which continues to make international headlines and still remains unsolved to this day.

When Robyn Gardner inexplicably disappeared in Aruba in August 2011, the story was front-page news. Her travel companion, Gary Giordano, became the main suspect. After being detained in an Aruban prison for four months, Giordano was released and never charged with any criminal wrongdoing. In a DR. PHIL exclusive, Gary faces Dr. Phil to answer the hard questions surrounding the mystery, his thoughts on the accusations levied against him, and for the first time, comes face to face with Robyn's sister, Danielle, who accuses him of killing Robyn for money - a charge he adamantly denies.

Dr. Phil also questions Gary's about his subsequent arrest on a charge of indecent exposure and a variety of allegations levied against him by former girlfriends.

Select quotes from the episode:

· "I didn't do anything wrong so I don't have any remorseful feelings." - Gary Giordano on whether he feels regretful about anything that happened in Aruba.

· "I think this was premeditated murder, Gary has changed the story a million times. I loathe him. He is a sinister, sinister, man." - Robyn Gardner's sister Danielle.

Also airing premiere week:

On Wednesday, September 10, Dr. Phil interviews David Barajas, the Texas man who just last week was acquitted of charges of murdering the drunk driver who killed his two sons in a tragic car crash. In a DR. PHIL exclusive, Barajas, who did not testify at trial, and his wife Cindy, speak for the first time only to Dr. Phil about the events of that fateful night, the heartbreaking loss of their two sons, and the effect the ensuing trial had on their marriage and family.

Also, on Thursday, September 11, Dr. Phil talks exclusively with Stephanie Hayden Ford, the daughter of Will Hayden, star of the defunct reality series "Sons of Guns," as she speaks out for the first time about the rape allegations against her father. Plus, even more of Dr. Phil's exclusive interview with David and Cindy Barajas.

Then, on Friday, September 12, Dr. Phil brings together the California couple and the fired nanny who wouldn't leave their home, as they face-off for the first time since their explosive legal battle played out in the national media, a DR. PHIL exclusive.

DR. PHIL was created by Harpo Productions, is produced by Peteski Productions in association with CBS Television Distribution and is distributed by CBS Television Distribution, a unit of CBS Corp. Carla Pennington and Dr. Phillip C. McGraw are the executive producers. Angie Kraus is co-executive producer.
