CBS Continues "The Big Bang Theory" Hour to Open Monday
"Mom" will now premiere on Thursday, October 30 while "The Millers" will move up to Monday, October 20.

CBS CONTINUES "THE BIG BANG THEORY" HOUR TO OPEN MONDAY

The Critically Acclaimed Comedy "Mom" to Premiere Oct. 30 at 8:30 PM As Part of the Network's Launch of Its Thursday Entertainment Lineup

Last Season's Top New Comedy "The Millers" Premieres Monday, Oct. 20 at 8:30 PM

Capitalizing on the early success from its premiere Monday, CBS will double up on THE BIG BANG THEORY to open the night for the next three weeks. An original episode of THE BIG BANG THEORY will air at 8:00 PM, followed by a rebroadcast of a different episode (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on Monday, Sept. 29, Monday, Oct. 6 and Monday, Oct. 13.

The critically acclaimed comedy MOM, originally scheduled to premiere next Monday at 8:30 PM, will now premiere as part of CBS's signature Thursday comedy block. MOM will premiere after THE BIG BANG THEORY on Oct. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), the night CBS launches its Thursday entertainment lineup (following THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL). MOM will return to Mondays (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on Jan. 5.

The sophomore season of THE MILLERS, last year's #1 new comedy, originally scheduled to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 30, will now debut Monday, Oct. 20 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT). THE MILLERS will return to Thursdays (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on Jan. 8.

CBS's new Monday lineup had a successful launch behind big premieres of THE BIG BANG THEORY and the new drama SCORPION. On premiere Monday, CBS was first in viewers (13.19m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and was a solid second in adults 18-49 (3.5/10). Compared to premiere Monday last year, CBS was up +42% in adults 25-54, +30% in adults 18-49 and +57% in viewers.
