Official Game of "The League" Reinvents Fantasy Football on Mobile

The League: Daily Fantasy Football is now available for free download on Apple's App Store and Google Play

Los Angeles, Calif. - October 2, 2014 - Fox Digital Entertainment, Funtactix and Rivalry Games, today announced the launch of a new game that combines the thrill of fantasy football with the trash-talking comedy of The League.

Developed by Rivalry Games, The League: Daily Fantasy Football lets football fans and fans of the show jump into the fantasy football experience without the hardcore commitment of traditional fantasy leagues. Fans can play against their friends or against other fans by picking players minutes before kick-off in every NFL game. Use your football knowledge to decide which players are going to outperform their estimates. Then your team goes up against the rest of the players in your challenge. Winners collect in-game currency and major bragging rights.

The League (Wednesday nights on FXX), follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care deeply about one another - so deeply that they use every opportunity to make each other's lives miserable. The backdrop of their fantasy football league makes for classic one-liners and trash talk, both of which are featured heavily in the game. Suffer insults from Kevin, Pete, and Taco and as you add your own friends to your Eskimo Brothers list and fight to bring home the Shiva!

"Funtactix is always on the lookout for great properties to match with killer developers." said Sam Glassenberg, CEO of Funtactix. "We're huge fans of The League and Rivalry Games has made the perfect game for fans."

"As The League kicks off season six and football season gets underway, we're excited to offer fans another way to engage with the show (and their own circle of smack-talking friends)," said Louisa Shipnuck, SVP Brand Strategy at FX Productions. "This is a great, easy-to-use game that opens daily fantasy football and The League to a wider audience."

ABOUT THE LEAGUE

The League follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care deeply about one another - so deeply that they use every opportunity to make each other's lives miserable. The League features an ensemble cast of rising actors/comedians. Stephen Rannazzisi (Paul Blart: Mall Cop) is "Kevin," a happily married father and commissioner of the league. Katie Aselton (Black Rock) plays "Jenny," Kevin's wife and his better half - especially when it comes to Fantasy Football. Mark Duplass (Tammy) plays "Pete," the perennial league champ who is struggling to become an adult. Jon Lajoie is "Taco," Kevin's little brother, a part-time musician and full-time stoner with little interest in fantasy other than hanging with his buddies (whom he struggles to remember). Nick Kroll (Kroll Show) plays "Ruxin," who believes he is the smartest of the group but can't figure out how exactly the other guys are screwing him over. "Andre," played by Paul Scheer (NTSF:SD:SUV), has continued to be the punching bag of the group since their high school days - a fact that hasn't changed despite the fact he is now a successful plastic surgeon.
