"UNTOLD WITH MARIA MENOUNOS" PREMIERES THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30th AT 8:00PM ET/PT

Series Takes A Fascinating Look At The Transgender Movement Featuring Interviews With Laverne Cox, Candis Cayne and Carmen Carrera

"There have been many times in my life that I have wondered, as a black trans woman, 'Is this the day that I'm going to be taken out?'" - Laverne Cox

Plus "Untold" Looks Closely At Robin Williams Recent Passing And Comedians Who Battle Depression, Featuring An Exclusive Sit-Down With Comedian Dane Cook

"There's a lot of solitude when you're a comedian.. a lot of time you're out there by yourself... I know that feeling of feeling hopeless." - Dane Cook

Los Angeles, CA - October 20, 2014 - In the fourth installment of "Untold With Maria Menounos," the series takes a closer look at two major entertainment stories that are making headlines today: the Transgender movement and Depression in Comedians.

In the first portion of the show, Menounos sits with stars Laverne Cox, Candis Cayne and Carmen Carrera to get their Untold stories and show how they are helping to pave the way for transgender acceptance. Additionally, she talks to Dr. Marci Bowers, a gender reassignment doctor who is herself transgender. Dr. Bowers' most famous patient became a pop culture celebrity in his own right: Thomas Beatie, the first man in history to give birth. Beatie gives Menounos his personal story. And finally, Menounos sits for an exclusive interview with Nick and Bianca Bowser, a transgender husband and wife, who have with two kids who were carried by Nick.

Then, Menounos looks closely at how Robin Williams's recent suicide put the spotlight on stories of other comedians struggling with depression, and how certain medical studies have found a higher suicide rate among performers. Menounos sits down for a one-on-one with comedian Dane Cook who talks about Robin Williams, and details his own struggle with depression after both his parents died. Additionally, Cook offers insight about why so many comedians struggle. Finally, Menounos tries out a new treatment which trains people's brains to combat depression.

Don't miss the story behind these headlines when "Untold With Maria Menounos" airs Thursday, October 30that 8:00pm ET/PT only on E!

Quotes from the episode:

"I was walking in Midtown Manhattan and I passed this group of men and I heard someone say, 'That's a man,' and then one of them kicked me. I remember being really scared but that pales in comparison to the reality that a lot of other trans women are dealing with right now." - Laverne Cox

"The doctor said he's never had a patient like me before and he didn't know what to do and it made him feel uncomfortable. We went to 9 different doctors and ultimately we had to get pregnant at home. Nancy inseminated me at home." - Thomas Beatie

"We have thought about it. You know, one of our children going to school and saying 'Mommy has a penis.' But, I'm hoping, with everything that's going on now, by the time our children are third/fourth grade, that society, at least the majority of society, better understands who trans people are so we don't have to explain ourselves ever time." - Nick Bowser

"Robin Williams died... I cried for two days. Him dying... changed the world's tilt... it crushed me. I really understood where his loneliness came from. And yet I was like, I'm going to find the, positive in this.' My special's dedicated to Robin Williams." - Dane Cook

"When you're off-stage, that's when you gotta keep getting up there on life, because that silence after you get the applause and... the smiles, and the appreciation, the silence, can be deafening." - Dane Cook
