MAGELLAN, THE (The CW, New!) - Jennifer Johnson ("The Following") is developing a new drama "that revolves around what happens when a mysterious global cataclysm strands a group of students, teachers and crew on a Semester at Sea sailboat." The Warner Bros. Television-based project is inspired by the Globomedia and Antena3 drama "El Barco," created by Alex Pina, Ivan Escobar and Daniel Ecija, with the latter attached to executive produce alongside Laura Fernandez Espeso, Ombra's Jaume Collet-Serra and Juan Sola as well as Management 360's Guymon Casady. UNTITLED COLLEEN MCGUINNESS PROJECT (FOX, New!) - "30 Rock" alum Colleen McGuinness has sold a single-camera comedy to the network about "a 25-year-old woman who works at a frozen yogurt shop and whose life is going nowhere - until she discovers she is telekinetic." Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Jennifer Todd of Pearl Street Films will also executive produce the Universal Television-based project, which has a penalty attached. (Deadline.com)
