Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store Will Be Available First to Fans on His Website LouisCK.net in Coming Weeks

LOS ANGELES, January 18, 2015 - FX has acquired the television rights to Emmy Award winner Louis C.K.'s next standup comedy special, Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store, it will announced today by John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions.

C.K. will make the special available to fans first on his website, LouisCK.net, in coming weeks after his record-breaking run of shows at Madison Square Garden. C.K. is the first comedian to sell out three shows for the same tour in Madison Square Garden history. Tickets for the fourth Madison Square Garden show on January 27th went on sale yesterday.

The hour-long comedy special will subsequently air on FX this spring. C.K. will write and direct the special. C.K. and M. Blair Breard will serve as Executive Producers of the special. The special is being produced by C.K.'s production company, Pig Newton.

Louis C.K. Live at the Comedy Store is C.K.'s sixth hour-long standup comedy special and the second to air on FX following Louis C.K. Live At the Beacon Theater in May of 2012. Louis C.K. won an Emmy Award in 2013 for his special Louis C.K. Oh My God and an Emmy Award in 2012 for his special Louis C.K. Live at the Beacon Theater. He won a Grammy Award for his comedy album Hilarious.

The fifth season of Louie will debut on FX on April 9th at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT. The fifth season will feature eight episodes from Creator/Executive Producer/Writer/Star/Director/Editor Louis C.K. Season Four of Louie was nominated for a Golden Globe(R) Award is currently nominated for a PGA Award, WGA Award, SAG Award and a DGA Award. Louie has won three Emmy Awards - Louis C.K. for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (2012 and 2014), and Melissa Leo for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (2013). The series has also won AFI Awards (2012 and 2013) and a Peabody Award (2013), as well as Television Critics Association Awards in each of the past three years.

Louie is a comedy filtered through the observational humor of Louis C.K. Each episode puts a spotlight on Louis' hectic life as a successful stand-up comedian and newly single father raising his two daughters. The single-camera comedy is a mix of Louis C.K.'s stand-up comedy and scripted stories. Louis C.K., M. Blair Breard and Dave Becky are Executive Producers. The series is produced by FX Productions.
