Phoenix-Area Residents Finding Free Tickets and a Chance to Meet David Feherty Via Finding #Feherty Social Media Scavenger Hunt

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Jan. 26, 2015) - Emmy-nominated David Feherty is ready to unleash the wit, wackiness and an unconventional interview style that has earned his show critical acclaim during Super Bowl week, with two Feherty Live stage shows originating from Phoenix, Ariz., on Wednesday, Jan. 28, and Thursday, Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. ET. Both shows also will air live on Golf Channel and stream live on the Golf Live Extra app.

Guests slated to appear on Wednesday include PGA TOUR professional Erik Compton, actor Tom Arnold, and NBC's Sunday Night Football announcers Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth, who will be calling this Sunday's Super Bowl XLIX on NBC.

Thursday's lineup includes two of the funniest men from the golf world, professional Rocco Mediate and commentator Gary McCord, as well as NBC's Football Night in America analysts and former Super Bowl champions Rodney Harrison and Hines Ward, and ESPN football analyst Herm Edwards.

Feherty has been described as one of the "funniest men in the game" by Yahoo! Sports and these two shows will mark his sixth and seventh live performances on Golf Channel, and the second time from a Super Bowl host city. During the 2012 Super Bowl week in Indianapolis, Feherty welcomed football greats Joe Theismann, Steve Mariucci and Tim Tebow at the height of Tebow-mania.

An expected live audience of 1,000 fans will rock the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Phoenix for each Feherty Live show. MCA recording artist and country singer-songwriter Josh Kelley will return as musical entertainment. As part of the NBC Sports Group, Golf Channel will turn over the theater to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which is scheduled to also air live on Super Bowl Sunday after the game.

The first episode of Feherty debuted in 2011 as the most-watched premiere for an original series in Golf Channel history, and over the span of four seasons has featured a variety of guests, including golf-loving personalities like former President Bill Clinton, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, five-time NBA MVP Bill Russell, comedic genius Larry David, actors Samuel L. Jackson and Don Cheadle, legendary college football coach Lou Holtz; and a host of golfing greats, including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Bubba Watson, Rory McIlroy and Ben Crenshaw.

Finding #Feherty Social Media Scavenger Hunt

As a way to leverage the excitement of Super Bowl XLIX and generate buzz for Feherty Live, Golf Channel and GolfNow have been hosting a social media scavenger hunt titled Finding #Feherty. Fans from all over Phoenix have been decoding clues shared on Golf Channel's and GolfNow's Twitter and Instagram accounts for their chance to attend one of the two Feherty Live shows scheduled this week at Phoenix's Orpheum Theatre. Since the start of the campaign, Golf Channel's social media platforms have grown by close to 5K followers and over 25K Likes, the hashtag #Feherty garnering over 11.8 million impressions. A few lucky fans even had the opportunity to meet David Feherty at one of the clue locations. So far, 70 fans have won tickets.

The Finding #Feherty social media scavenger hunt began Friday, Jan. 23 and will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 27. One lucky searcher will win a pair of "golden tickets," which will include -- in addition to tickets to a Feherty Live show -- an opportunity to meet David Feherty, a free GolfNow foursome and tickets to Golf Channel's "Super Suite" Golf Central set on the 16th hole at the PGA TOUR's Waste Management Phoenix Open, taking place Jan. 29 - Feb. 1.
