To catch her mother off guard, Haylie cooks a stellar birthday breakfast of Farro Cakes and Strawberry Crostinis. With a little help from Food Network's Duff Goldman (Spring Baking Championship, Duff Till Dawn), Haylie is able to pull off the biggest surprise of the day - homemade Dulce de Leche Cake.

The note included one of his top-secret recipes, inspiring Haylie to share her recipes in the same gracious sentiment. In October 2013, Haylie penned her first cookbook, The Real Girl's Kitchen, based off her wildly popular namesake blog. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California with her fiancé, Matt Rosenberg, and they are expecting their first child this spring.
