U.S. WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM PREPS FOR WORLD CUP IN TWO SEND-OFF SERIES MATCHES ON FOX SPORTS 1

USA Faces Ireland and Mexico on Back-To-Back Weekends in Tune-Ups for 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup

Los Angeles - The U.S. Women's National Team puts the final touches on its preparation for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup with a pair of Send-Off Series matches on FOX Sports 1. The series begins on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, with an important friendly against the Republic of Ireland, followed by a match against Mexico on Sunday, May 17. Both matches are televised on FOX Sports 1, home to 29 of 52 Women's World Cup matches this summer.

The series begins at Avaya Stadium, the new home to the MLS San Jose Earthquakes, as the USWNT takes on the Republic of Ireland on Mother's Day. Live pre-match coverage begins at 2:30 PM ET with kickoff slated for 3:00 PM ET. One week later in Los Angeles, the USWNT faces Mexico, which like the U.S., is World Cup-bound, at StubHub Center, home to the MLS LA Galaxy. Pre-match coverage begins at 9:00 PM ET with action beginning at 9:30 PM ET. The last time the U.S. and Mexico women clashed was during 2014 CONCACAF Women's World Cup Qualifying play, a match the USWNT won, 3-0. Both matches are available on tablets and mobile devices via the FOX Sports GO app and online at www.FOXSportsGO.com.

Veteran play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera calls both matches on-site alongside analysts Cat Whitehill, a former USWNT defender, and Tony DiCicco, head coach of the legendary 1999 U.S. World Cup Champion squad. Jenny Taft patrols the sidelines during both matches.

FOX Sports' pregame, halftime and postgame coverage for United States-Republic of Ireland is hosted by Rob Stone, who is joined by former USWNT stars Heather Mitts and Leslie Osborne and U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer Eric Wynalda, and originates live from the Fox Network Center in Los Angeles. Studio coverage for the U.S.-Mexico tilt features Stone, Mitts, Osborne and retired USWNT midfielder Angela Hucles.

FOX Sports plans the most expansive and comprehensive multi-platform coverage ever of the FIFA Women's World Cup(TM), including an unprecedented 16 matches airing live on FOX broadcast network, when the tournament commences on June 6. FOX Sports televises all 52 games in the expanded tournament from six cities across Canada between June 6 and July 5, 2015 live on FOX; FOX Sports 1, America's fastest growing sports network; and FOX Sports 2. All games are available on tablets and mobile devices via the FOX Sports GO app and online at www.FOXSportsGO.com.
