Hero Dog Awards Premieres on Hallmark Channel October 30 at 8/7C

Hallmark Channel announced today that altar-bound lovebirds, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert (Bachelor in Paradise), will join the star-studded roster of talent as presenters at the 5th American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards, taping this Saturday, September 19th at the historic Beverly Hilton Hotel. Also joining the program will be Grammy(R)-Nominated artist, Five for Fighting, with a special music performance. In addition, Kevin Nealon (Weeds, Saturday Night Live) will feature in a pre-taped comedy package.

The world premiere of the 5th annual Hero Dog Awards, honoring 8 extraordinary canines chosen in a nation-wide online vote, debuts on Hallmark Channel Friday, October 30 (8pm ET/PT, 7C).

The Hero Dog Awards, presented for the past four years by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation, is a moving celebration of our four-legged friends and the innumerable ways they enrich, protect, and save lives every day. Each year, the program salutes eight special dogs - one in each of eight categories - chosen in a nationwide online vote. The eight finalists and their human handlers are flown to Los Angeles where they are honored at a red carpet, star-studded awards gala. The evening is capped off with the announcement of the top American Hero Dog of the year.
