DISNEY CHANNEL OPTIONS SCHOLASTIC'S NEWEST TWEEN TALE, "UPSIDE-DOWN MAGIC"

Disney Channel has optioned "Upside-Down Magic," a book series from Scholastic, for development of an original TV show. The first book of the series, by bestselling authors Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle and Emily Jenkins, will be released on September 29, 2015. "Upside-Down Magic" follows the misadventures of Nory, the youngest in a family of elite magicians, who finds herself relegated to a class for misfits after one magical mishap too many. There Nory meets a group of kids with equally wonky powers. Surrounded by people who believe in her, she starts to question if her so-called "upside-down magic" might actually be right side up after all.
