PREGNANT AT 17 (Lifetime, New!) - Josie Bissett and Zoe De Grand Maison are set to star in a new original telefilm at the cable channel about Sonia Clifton (Bissett), "a veterinarian who discovers that her husband is having an affair. She becomes obsessed with finding out more about the woman, Chelsea, (De Grand Maison), and she soon learns that she is 17 and pregnant. Empathizing with the soon-to-be teen mother, Sonia becomes Chelsea's unlikely champion." Production is underway on the NB Thrilling Films-project, due in first quarter of 2016, with Curtis James Crawford directing from a script by Christine Conradt. Conradt, Pierre David, Tom Berry and Neil Bregman are the executive producers; Steve Boisvert a supervising producer; and Crawford and Donald M. Osborne producing. (Deadline.com)
STRAIGHT OUTTA CALABASAS (FOX, New!) - Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein ("Golan the Insatiable") have received a put pilot commitment from the network for a single-camera comedy about "two profoundly white, liberal LA parents discover their 10 year-old-son is a basketball prodigy. They suddenly find themselves wrapped up in a community they can't possibly understand, forming an unlikely friendship with a family they have nothing in common with." Said effort is set up at 20th Century Fox Television, home to the duo's overall deal. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ZOANNE CLACK PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Zoanne Clack ("Grey's Anatomy") is spearheading a potential drama at the Alphabet about "a U.S. Army Medevac (medical evacuation) team whose job it is to save lives while risking their own. They operate out of an oddly Americanized base camp in Baghdad circa 2004, where they get on each others' nerves, sleep with the wrong people, navigate office politics and party like there's no tomorrow." Shondaland's Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers also serve as executive producers on the hour for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
