The Disney/ABC Television Group Launches Updated WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior Apps for the New Apple TV

DISNEY|ABC TELEVISION GROUP LAUNCHES UPDATED WATCH DISNEY CHANNEL, WATCH DISNEY JUNIOR AND WATCH DISNEY XD APPS FOR THE NEW APPLE TV

Disney|ABC Television Group has reimagined the over-the-top TV experience of its groundbreaking WATCH Disney apps - WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior - for the new Apple TV. WATCH ABC continues to be available on Apple TV and will be updated in 2016.

Utilizing Apple's tvOS platform, the apps now come alive with motion and sound while kids explore what to watch. Updates include:

- Rich, immersive experience. Network and show branded home screens bring the television screen to life with motion graphics, video and music

- Character-driven navigation that makes it easier for kids to browse and watch their favorite shows

- Ability to quickly swipe through show menus using new Siri remote

- A more seamless viewing experience using Apple TV's Top Shelf capabilities. From the Apple home screen, viewers can now easily find the last show they watched and resume playing or find a new episode of a favorite show just by hovering over the app.

Using WATCH Disney, viewers can access full episodes of their favorite Disney shows on demand for free anytime, anywhere on their desktop, smartphone, tablet or connected TV devices. Viewers who sign in with a participating pay-TV provider can also watch a live 24-hour feed of the respective network and access exclusive programming events like the recent world premieres of Disney's "Descendants" and "Teen Beach 2" on WATCH Disney Channel, "Goldie & Bear" on WATCH Disney Junior and "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy" on WATCH Disney XD.
