WATCH ABC Debuts on the Roku Platform

On the heels of unveiling major updates to its WATCH Disney apps for the new Apple TV, Disney|ABC Television Group announces that its WATCH ABC Family* app is now live on the new Apple TV and Roku players and Roku TV models. WATCH ABC, which is already available on Apple TV, is also now live on the Roku Platform.

Over the last year, ABC has seen significant growth in usage on connected TV devices, which now represents over half of its digital viewing.

WATCH ABC and WATCH ABC Family enable device users nationwide to access full episodes of their favorite shows on demand, including "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Modern Family," "Quantico," "Shark Tank" and "Scandal" on ABC and "Baby Daddy," "Pretty Little Liars," "Stitchers," "Switched at Birth," "The Fosters" and "25 Days of Christmas" on ABC Family.

Additionally, subscribers of participating pay TV providers have several advantages. They can watch 24-hour live streams of each network, exclusive programming events and the most recent episodes the day after they air.

Currently, the WATCH ABC live stream is available in ABC's eight-owned TV-station markets: Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco, with more markets becoming available in the coming year.

WATCH ABC Family's live stream is available nationwide.

Last month, Disney|ABC Television Group unveiled a reimagined user experience for the WATCH Disney apps -- WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior - on the new Apple TV. Utilizing Apple's tvOS platform, the apps now come alive with motion and sound while kids explore what to watch.

WATCH ABC, WATCH ABC Family and WATCH Disney let fans watch current episodes of shows anytime, anywhere on their desktop, smartphone, tablet or connected TV devices. Disney|ABC Television Group currently has deals with the following pay TV providers: Comcast, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, DirecTV, DISH, Midcontinent Communications, Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber and AT&T U-verse, among others.

* ABC Family will be Freeform in January 2016.
