AMERICAN GODS (Starz) - Omid Abtahi (Argo) has been tapped for a role on the upcoming drama as Salim, "a sweet, sad, and put-upon foreigner who is one half of a pair of star-crossed lovers." Said deal has an option to become a series regular. (Deadline.com)
APB (FOX) - Trey Callaway has joined the midseason drama as co-showrunner and executive producer as part of an overall deal with producer 20th Century Fox Television. (Variety.com)
DIMENSION 404 (Hulu) - Joel McHale and Sarah Hyland are both slated to appear in the anthology series. McHale will play Mr. Maker, "a charismatic, eccentric yet slightly patronizing founder of a matchmaking company that offers single adults a seemingly perfect solution to finding love"; while Hyland is set as Chloe, "an unassumingly cute, typically independent high school student just discovering that boys are into her." MINDY PROJECT, THE (Hulu) - Star/creator Mindy Kaling has inked a multi-year deal with Universal Television, covering her acting, producing and writing duties. (Variety.com)
