ALTON BROWN RETURNS TO THE GREAT OUTDOORS FOR DIABOLICAL SUMMER SERIES "CAMP CUTTHROAT 2: ALTON'S REVENGE"

Five-Episode Cutthroat Kitchen Special Event Begins Wednesday, August 24th at 10pm ET/PT

NEW YORK - July 20, 2016 - Host and head counselor of mayhem Alton Brown goes back to camp with a trunkful of twisted culinary challenges in the primetime special series Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton's Revenge, premiering Wednesday, August 24th at 10pm (all times ET/PT) on Food Network. This year's five-episode battle is set even deeper in the wilderness, with a roster of sixteen chef contestants competing in all-new diabolical camp-themed challenges for the chance to win up to $75,000. The tournament leads up to a final showdown between the four heat winners to determine the Camp Cutthroat champion on Wednesday, September 21st at 10pm.

"We couldn't wait to bring Alton back to Camp Cutthroat to take care of some unfinished business," said Didi O'Hearn, Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network & Cooking Channel. "The culinary mischief hits new levels of fun and excitement that our viewers will love."

Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton's Revenge "Axe to Grind" Premieres Wednesday, August 24th at 10pm In the first heat, the chefs cook a scramble with either an ax, a knife or an arrowhead. Then, competitors must make meat and potatoes while wearing a giant life jacket. Finally, one chef has to make dessert pancakes on an enormous compass. Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton's Revenge "Big Foot Loose" Premieres Wednesday, August 31st at 10pm Heat two begins with chefs making a hunter's stew while dressed as forest animals, followed by a Big Foot-themed trail lunch. In the final round, one chef has to balance on a log in the lake while making a skillet cookie. Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton's Revenge "We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat" Premieres Wednesday, September 7th at 10pm Round three kicks off with a waffle breakfast, where chefs must prepare their dish with their arms stuck in rocks. Then, a chef has to have Bob the Bear cook their grilled fish, followed by a crumble quicksand challenge. Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton's Revenge "How To Get Away With Burger" Premieres Wednesday, September 14th at 10pm In the fourth heat, chefs have to make a breakfast burrito while hanging a net, then cook burgers using only the flame from burning hiking snacks. Finally, one chef has to be pulled by a jet ski to get the ingredients for a trail mix dessert. Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton's Revenge "The Great Out S'mores" Premieres Wednesday, September 21st at 10pm The four heat winners return to camp for the tournament finale, which begins with chefs making chili dogs on a leaky boat. In the next round, dishes must be prepared while contestants help each other balance on a log. Then two chefs have a s'mores war, and the last chef standing wins it all.
