BEING MARY JANE (BET) - Jona Xiao ("Halt and Catch Fire") is bound for the show's fourth season as Natalie Wu, "a correspondent who works on Mary Jane's morning news team." (Deadline.com)
GYPSY (Netflix) - Poorna Jagannathan ("The Night Of") and Brenda Vaccaro have been tapped for roles on the Naomi Watts-led drama. The former will play "a straight-shooting fellow therapist at Jean's practice with an irreverent sense of humor and a laid-back vibe." No details were given on Vaccaro's role. Billy Crudup and Melanie Liburd also star. (Deadline.com)
LETHAL WEAPON (FOX) - Hilarie Burton will drop by the newcomer as DEA investigator Karen Palmer, "who is described as tough and smart and not afraid to speak her mind." (TVLine.com)
NEW GIRL (FOX) - David Hornsby will guest on the new season as "the head of Jess' school's parent council, a tough customer whom Miss Day really, really wants to impress." (TVLine.com)
RED MOON (FOX, New!) - Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin ("Nashville") have sold a potential drama to the network based on Benjamin Percy's 2013 novel "set in a world in which Lycans, the human-esque basis for werewolf myths, live among humans as an oppressed minority. After a major terrorist event on U.S. soil, a Lycan female FBI agent must go undercover to a world she has shunned her whole life in an effort to stop another attack." James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now) is on board to direct the 20th Century Fox Television-based hour, which has a penalty attached. Temple Hill Entertainment's Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen will executive produce alongside said trio. (Variety.com)
SNATCH (Crackle) - Phoebe Dynevor (Dickensian) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama as a yet-to-be-revealed character. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LIZZIE MICKERY PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Lizzie Mickery (The Bill) has set up a new drama at the Alphabet about "a team of female detectives" led by Billie Law and Martha Lee who "will fight to make sure you get what you deserve." Bad Wolf's Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner will also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
