PRODUCTION BEGINS ON "A WORTHWHILE LIFE," HALLMARK CHANNEL NEW, ORIGINAL MOVIE STARRING ADRIAN GRENIER AND AMY SMART

Set for 2017 Premiere

STUDIO CITY, CA, October XX - Production has begun on the new, Hallmark Channel original movie "A Worthwhile Life," starring Adrian Grenier ("Entourage") and Amy Smart ("Justified"). Set to premiere early 2017, filming is taking place on location in and around Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mary Landers (Smart) is a young woman whose hope for an engagement is suddenly dashed when her fiancé tells her he is looking for someone more adventurous. On her train ride home she trades glances with James Fielding (Grenier), a handsome stranger who appears to be the larger-than-life adventurer she is not. As throngs of commuters exit the train, the only trace left of the mystery man is the phone he accidentally left behind. Mary endeavors to return it to him and finds herself on an unexpected journey during which she slowly reinvents herself. In the process she realizes that she may not be so different from the intriguing man who crossed her path after all.

"'A Worthwhile Life' is a special story of love and self-discovery. Adrian Grenier and Amy Smart are the perfect pair to bring these rich and layered characters to life," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "Our viewers love heartfelt stories that also have a sense of fun and we know they're going to fall in love with Mary and James as they follow them on their journey."

Grenier is best known for his role as actor Vincent Chase on the hit HBO series "Entourage," for which he earned three Screen Actors Guild award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Most recently he was in the feature films Marauders and Trash Fire and is in the upcoming Public Affairs. Additionally, Grenier is producing the documentary 52: The Search for the Loneliest Whale. Smart is familiar to audiences for her roles in Varsity Blues, The Butterfly Effect and Just Friends, among others, and has appeared on the series "Justified" and "Shameless."

"A Worthwhile Life" is from Crown Media Productions, LLC. Risa Shapiro and Kathy Kloves are executive producers and Stan Spry is producer. Kevin Connor will direct from a script by Kloves.
