CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - Harold Perrineau has scored an arc on the veteran drama as Calvin Shaw, "a former FBI agent incarcerated for killing one of his informants. Shaw has a run-in with a BAU agent and the team must determine whether he's a friend or foe." (TVLine.com)
DISH NATION (Syndication) - Fox Television Stations has cleared the daily half-hour entertainment news program from sibling Twentieth Television for two more years, taking it through 2019. (Deadline.com)
GIRL MEETS WORLD (Disney) - The show's writers took to Twitter with the news the series has been canceled. (@GMWWriters)
NASHVILLE (CMT) - Co-star Connie Britton has reaffirmed her commitment to the series following reports that she had only committed to appear in a limited number of the season's 22 episodes. (Deadline.com)
OUTCAST (Cinemax) - Briana Venskus has been tapped for a recurring role on the show's second season as Officer Nuñez, "an up-and-coming officer in the Rome police department." Said arc will last at least four episodes. (Variety.com)
WHAT WOULD DIPLO DO? (Viceland, New!) - James Van Der Beek is set to topline a new scripted entry at the cable channel about "a fictional version of DJ superstar Diplo in a collection of parables about life as told through the eyes of guy who can bring 60,000 people to their feet... but kind of sucks one-on-one." He'll play said Grammy-winning musician as well as serve as showrunner with Brandon Dermer attached to direct. Diplo and his long-time manager Kevin Kusatsu will also executive produce alongside the duo. The six-episode comedy series is slated to roll out later this year. TMWRK and Matador are the producers. (Deadline.com)
