IT'S SQUATCHIN' SEASON! THE BOYS OF DESTINATION AMERICA'S "MOUNTAIN MONSTERS" ARE BACK, BUT THIS TIME BIGFOOT IS THE LEAST OF THEIR WORRIES

(Silver Spring, Md.) - For four years, the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings (AIMS) have fought a tooth-and-nail battle to trap mysterious monsters that threaten the safety of mountain communities. They've hunted Bigfoot, Sheepsquatch, Hellhounds and dozens of other beasts, but along the way the tables turned. Now these lifelong hunters are being hunted by a masked rival team with ulterior, dangerous motives. AIMS continues their mission to investigate monsters in an all-new eight-episode season of MOUNTAIN MONSTERS premiering Saturday, April 8 at 10/9c on Destination America.

"This season more than ever before, MOUNTAIN MONSTERS puts the AIMS team front and center as they respond to the challenge of their rivals," said Jane Latman, general manager of Destination America. "As the team jumps back into investigating monsters like they do best, their personal relationships and group dynamics will be tested in the most epic battle of man versus beast yet."

In the special two-part premiere airing Saturday, April 8 and Saturday, April 15, after nine months of radio silence from the enigmatic "Rogue Team" - a shadowy foe that has been relentlessly thwarting AIMS' investigations for years - youngest AIMS team member Buck takes matters into his own hands to get answers once and for all. Buck's bold actions cause a rift among his mountain brothers Trapper, Willy, Jeff, Huckleberry, and Wild Bill as they weigh their own personal safety against a chance to lure the Rogue Team out from the shadows. While tensions rise, a whole new mission awaits AIMS in a dark place they have been before, a place they fear with new questions, mysteries, and monsters.

AIMS' new journey begins in the episode airing Saturday, April 22 as they travel to Lee County, Va. Despite attempting to ease into the investigation, danger finds them quickly as the forest's evil forces wake up to their arrival and target Jeff. There's more supernatural warfare ahead than the team had bargained for, but will they rise to complete the quest? Find out in the most intense, suspenseful, and emotionally charged season of MOUNTAIN MONSTERS yet.

For a refresher on how AIMS got to where they are, catch up with a weeklong MOUNTAIN MONSTERS WEEK marathon of every episode from the very beginning starting Monday, April 3 and continuing through the premiere on Saturday, April 8.

MOUNTAIN MONSTERS is produced for Destination America by American Chainsaws with Colt Straub, Duke Straub, Royal Malloy, Russell Geyser and Jay Bluemke as executive producers.
