INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY TURNS UP THE HEAT THIS SUMMER WITH FIVE ALL-NEW SERIES

-- Network Also Welcomes Back Sophomore Series With New Seasons --

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Investigation Discovery (ID), America's leading mystery and suspense network, announced today the premiere of five sensational new series and the return of two sophomore series just in time for viewers to enjoy the lazy days of summer. The number one cable network for women, ID's electrifying mid-summer programming slate kicks off with the premiere of MURDER BY NUMBERS (Wednesday, July 12 at 10/9c), a suspenseful new series that follows police on a wild investigation into one shocking crime with multiple victims. Next on ID's summer docket is GONE (Monday, July 24 at 9/8c), featuring true stories of individuals who disappear without a trace, leaving their loved ones a trail of secrets they must uncover to discover the missing persons' whereabouts.

Next up, ID shows how the initial excitement of a new love can end terribly wrong in KISS OF DEATH (Thursday, August 24 at 9/8c), and then takes a voyeuristic peak into the life of the wealthy in GUILTY RICH (Thursday, August 31 at 10/9c). Finally, viewers can take a dive into the unknown in GRAVE MYSTERIES (Tuesday, September 5 at 10/9c), where detectives must sort through not only the mystery behind the killer, but the mystery surrounding the victim.

Accompanying these five heart-stopping series are the return of two of ID's hit original series for their sophomore seasons: AMERICAN MONSTER and BAD BLOOD. AMERICAN MONSTER takes viewers closer to the crime than ever before with never-before-seen footage of killers hiding in plain sight. BAD BLOOD keeps it in the family with its fast-paced storytelling of relatives who commit the ultimate betrayal.

ID's full summer programming slate is listed below in order of air date:

NEW SERIES

MURDER BY NUMBERS

Premieres Wednesday, July 12 at 10/9c

Suspenseful. Creepy. Terrifying. MURDER BY NUMBERS begins with the discovery of a body and the onset of an intense investigation. After following the clues, investigators quickly focus on a very likely suspect. But just as the viewer eases into the standard procedure of a true-crime investigation through the eyes of detectives, plunge into yet another chilling, suspenseful, cinematic scene where a second body is discovered. This shocking revelation not only eliminates the original suspect, it sends the investigation on a harrowing journey into the depths of pure criminal evil.

GONE

Premieres Monday, July 24 at 9/8c

No shoes in the hall. No coffee in the pot. He was supposed to come in late, but when she woke that morning he was just GONE. As the day went on, her unanswered calls grew more frantic, and her unease became panic. Something was wrong but the truth is even darker than it looks. GONE features twisted true stories of individuals who go missing and leave a trail of secrets in their wake and of frantic loved ones left behind who are often not who they seem.

KISS OF DEATH

Premieres Thursday, August 24 at 9/8c

KISS OF DEATH tells the true, heart-stopping stories of love gone wrong. Firsthand accounts examine how initial feelings of excitement, desire and passion escalate into the most unthinkable acts of crime. Suspicious signs, strange behaviors and red flags reveal that things are not as rosy as they seem. These ominous signs and clues are pieced together as each hour builds to a final, shocking, deadly act.

GUILTY RICH

Premieres Thursday, August 31 at 10/9c

GUILTY RICH is a voyeuristic peek into the world of ultra-wealth, scandal and entitlement. Each gripping episode tells the story of a super-rich killer by exposing the excessive lifestyle that went to their heads. GUILTY RICH illustrates how when it comes to murder, the very rich aren't like the rest of us.

GRAVE MYSTERIES

Premieres Tuesday, September 5 at 10/9c

Solving a murder is twice as difficult when there are GRAVE MYSTERIES surrounding the victim, not just the killer. In these baffling investigations, police are forced to reconstruct the life of the victim piece by piece in order to uncover the shocking truth.

RETURNING SERIES

If you looked into the eyes of a killer, would you know? In AMERICAN MONSTER, you find out. For the first time, viewers get closer than ever to some of America's most shocking and surprising crimes. Filled with never-before-seen footage of these devils in disguise, from home movie shots of them playing with their kids to musical performances at high school, from the church cook-out to the wedding video, AMERICAN MONSTER interweaves twisting-turning stories of astonishing crimes, with 'behind-the-scenes' footage of killers at their seemingly most innocent.

BAD BLOOD (Season 2)
