LOS ANGELES - July 13, 2017 - CBS late night series THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT and THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN garnered nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and additional key categories for the 69th Primetime Emmy Award 2016-2017 season. This marks the first time since 2003 that two daily broadcast late night shows from the same network have been nominated in the same year.

CBS' THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT garnered three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series.

The Network's THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN received two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and Outstanding Interactive Program.

Additionally, on SHOWTIME, "Stephen Colbert's Live Election Night Democracy's Series Finale: Who's Going to Clean Up This Sh*t?" special received three nominations for Outstanding Variety Special, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.

Also, THE LATE LATE SHOW CARPOOL KARAOKE PRIMETIME SPECIAL 2017 earned two nominations for Outstanding Variety Special and for Outstanding Technical Direction.

Stephen Colbert will host the 69TH PRIMETIME EMMY(R) AWARDS, marking his first time as Master of Ceremonies for the event. The EMMY AWARDS will be broadcast LIVE from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Sunday, Sept. 17 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/5:00-8:00 PM live PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The 69TH PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS is produced by White Cherry Entertainment. Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are executive producers, Weiss is director and Chris Licht, Executive Producer, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, is a producer.
