CHICAGO FIRE/MED/PD (NBC) - Executive producer Danielle Claman Gelber has inked a first-look with Universal Television to develop new series projects. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Tracy Spiridakos, who recurred as Detective Hailey Upton this past season, has been named a series regular for season five. (Deadline.com)
FLASH, THE (The CW) - Tom Felton's Julian Albert is exiting the series after one season as a regular. It's not clear how his character will be written out. (EW.com)
LETHAL WEAPON (FOX) - Australian actor Andrew Creer has been tapped for a recurring role as Zach Bowman, "a good-looking, eager detective on the robbery/homicide division who partners with Detective Bailey (Michelle Mitchenor)." (THR.com)
NATHAN FOR YOU (Comedy Central) - Star Nathan Fielder took to Twitter with the news his series will return for its fourth season on Thursday, September 28. Additionally, look for a one-hour special "Nathan for You: A Celebration" on September 21 that checks in on participants from previous seasons. (@nathanfielder)
OLIVE FOREVER (USA) - Tatyana Ali, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Christian Antidormi have all been cast in the drama pilot. Ali will play Alison, "Olive's foster mother, a quick-witted, tender community college professor who strives to guide Olive away from her criminal past." Warner then will portray Taylor, "Olive's foster father, an open-hearted community college professor who offers Olive help when no one else would"; with Antidormi as "a smooth-talking mysterious figure that matches and challenges Olive's skills." RIGHT STUFF, THE (NGC, New!) - Tom Wolfe's famed book-turned-feature, "documenting the stories of the first Project Mercury astronauts selected for the NASA space program," is being developed as a TV series by the cable channel. Writer Will Staples is spearheading the Warner Horizon Television-based project with Appian Way Productions' Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson likewise executive producing. (@NGC_PR)
TAKEN (NBC) - Jessica Camacho has joined the cast of the series as Santana, "a scary-smart, rule-breaking former Army captain who possesses an acerbic wit and calculated bravado." (Deadline.com)
YOU'RE THE WORST (FXX) - Colin Ferguson will recur on the upcoming season as Boone, "a friend of Ty's (Stephen Schneider) whom Gretchen (Aya Cash) begins dating. He's a middle-aged guy who lives in Eagle Rock and runs a nonprofit - and who represents the kind of fun-loving, down-to-earth guy Gretchen never had in Jimmy (Chris Geere)." (THR.com)
