"WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?" COMING TO UP THIS OCTOBER

(September 20, 2017 - Atlanta, GA) - UP TV, television's family-focused entertainment destination targeted to adults, announced today that the iconic comedy series "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" will be coming to the network next month. The improv "game" show will kick-off with a five-hour marathon on Sunday, October 1 starting at 7 p.m. ET before settling into its weekly timeslot on Sundays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET and weeknights at 11 p.m. ET.

Fresh off the 2016/17 broadcast TV season being the network's best ever in P18-49 (+10% LSD)*, UP has acquired 185 of the Drew Carey hosted episodes from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution as well as 76 episodes (seasons 1-4) of the Aisha Tyler hosted ones with additional seasons in the future.

"Starting in October, UP will be the only television network where viewers can watch both the Drew Carey and Aisha Tyler hosted seasons of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?,'" said Amy Winter, executive vice president and general manager. "UP is filled with great stories about families as well as programming that makes them laugh out loud...together. Our audience will engage with the lovable humor of Drew and the savvy wit of Aisha. This funny, feel-good series is the perfect addition to the network's lineup."

In "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," along with a rotating group of actors, actresses and celebrities, quick-witted improv comedians Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles, perform outrageous scenes, weird quirks, spontaneous songs and much more, all done on the spot and completely unrehearsed. "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," American television's most unique comedy series, began as a radio program in London in 1988 before creators Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson brought the show to television. Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Dan Patterson, Denise O'Donoghue and Jimmy Mulville serve as executive producers.
