ERIN KRAKOW STARS AS A WOMAN WHOSE PERFECT HOLIDAY IS IN JEOPARDY IN
'ENGAGING FATHER CHRISTMAS'
A NEW ORIGINAL PREMIERING NOVEMBER 12, ON HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES
Niall Matter and Wendie Malick Also Star in the Sequel to Last Year's Holiday Hit, "Finding Father Christmas"
STUDIO CITY, CA - October 17, 2017 - Erin Krakow ("When Calls the Heart," "Army Wives"), Niall Matter ("Eureka") and Wendie Malick ("American Housewives," "Hot in Cleveland") star in "Engaging Father Christmas," a new original premiering Sunday, November 12 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as part of the network's annual, popular "Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas" programming event. Based on the series of Father Christmas books by Robin Jones Gunn, the film is a sequel to last year's highly rated "Finding Father Christmas."
This Christmas promises to be the best of Miranda Chester's (Krakow) life. She has returned to the beautiful New England town of Carlton Heath, where last year she found love with Ian McAndrick (Matter) while pursuing a clue to the identity of her biological father. And for the first time since losing her mother as a little girl, she is among family: the Whitcombs, a family she never knew she had until she discovered that her father was the late actor James Whitcomb. It is a romantic and soulful homecoming, filled with the joy of Christmas and the promise of a wonderful future. But that future is jeopardized when Miranda starts receiving anonymous texts threatening to publicly expose the truth about her famous father. Desperate to find out who is behind the messages before it's too late, Miranda is ready to do whatever she must to avoid causing pain to her new-found family - even if it means leaving Carlton Heath, and the man who loves her, forever.
"Engaging Father Christmas" is a Bauman Entertainment Inc. and EFC Films Inc. production. Ted Bauman is the producer. Bauman, Patricia Clifford and Libby Beers are Executive Producers. David Winning directed from a script by David Golden, based on the series of Father Christmas books by Robin Jones Gunn.
