RESIDENT, THE (FOX) - Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Catherine Dyer are both set to recur on the midseason drama. He'll play AJ Marino, "the new star cardio-thoracic surgeon at Chastain, but his incredible gifts come with a price"; while she's set as "seasoned head Nurse Alexis Stevens, a no-nonsense medical professional whose demeanor is businesslike, stern, and efficient." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BAD BOYS SPIN-OFF PROJECT (NBC) - The Gabrielle Union-led drama, a small screen extension of the feature film franchise, is officially heading to pilot at the Peacock. She plays Special Agent Syd Burnett, "last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, she is making a cross-country move from Miami to Los Angeles." (Deadline.com)
WATCHMEN (HBO) - Damon Lindelof has renewed his overall deal with Warner Bros. Television, his home since 2012. The pact covers all of his TV output, including his current Alan Moore/Dave Gibbons-adaptation at HBO. (THR.com)
WILL & GRACE (NBC) - The network has confirmed Alec Baldwin, Blythe Danner, Sara Rue, Mary McCormack and Robert Klein are all slated to drop by the show's revival this season. Baldwin will reprise his role as Malcolm Widmark, Danner will return as Marilyn Truman (Will's mom) and Rue is due back as Joyce (Grace's sister). McCormack and Klein's roles weren't specified.
