BRIAN URLACHER, PAUL SCHEER AND CHEECH MARIN SIGN UP FOR "ROB RIGGLE'S SKI MASTER ACADEMY," SONY CRACKLE RELEASES FIRST-LOOK CLIP AND PHOTO FROM NEW ORIGINAL COMEDY SERIES SET TO LAUNCH IN AUGUST

New York, April 24, 2018 - Sony Crackle announced today that former NFL linebacker and Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher, actor-comedian Paul Scheer ("Veep," "The Disaster Artist") and comic legend Cheech Marin ("Coco," "Cheech & Chong") will appear as guest stars in the new original comedy series "Rob Riggle's Ski Master Academy," which recently wrapped production in Malibu, California. The network announced that the series will debut in August.

The network also released a first-look clip and photo featuring Riggle today at their upfront presentation at Sony Headquarters New York.

Urlacher, Scheer and Marin join the previously announced ensemble cast led by Riggle (who also serves as writer and executive producer) including Britt Baron ("GLOW"), Eliza Coupe ("Future Man," "Scrubs"), Billy Merritt ("Happy Endings"), Dave (Gruber) Allen ("Love"), Alison Rich ("The Goldbergs"), Carl Tart ("Comedy Bang! Bang!"), Samm Levine ("Freaks and Geeks") and Rizwan Manji ("Mr. Robot").

The eight-episode, 22-minute series follows a constantly misbehaving and only slightly fictionalized Rob Riggle, mostly known for his legendary ski master movies, as he invests all his money and his reputation into an Academy celebrating America's truest art form... personal watercraft riding. Riggle, his legendary stuntman commandant Dirk Hamsteak (Merritt) and their entire staff of instructors spend a semester defending their beloved Academy at all costs. No matter how many people criticize it...go missing... or die!

In addition to Riggle, Jonathan Stern, Keith Quinn, Bennett Webber and Chris Pizzi will serve as executive producers. "Rob Riggle's Ski Master Academy" is produced by Sonar Entertainment and Abominable Pictures.
