NETFLIX ANNOUNCES THE DOCUSERIES "VAI ANITTA"

São Paulo, July 12th, 2018 - Netflix announced today that singer Anitta will star in a new unscripted biographical series Vai Anitta that is set to debut on the platform in 2018. With more than 29.4 million followers on Instagram, two billion views on YouTube and a rising international career, Anitta is presently the biggest Brazilian pop star. In the series produced by Shots Studios, the cameras will have unrestricted and uncensored access behind the scenes of her hectic routine: from the shows in Brazil to traveling around the world, through the interaction with the fans in social media and her personal life.

At the young age of 25, Anitta has become a rising performer in Brazil and worldwide, reaching success with smashing hits such as Downtown - the first song by a Brazilian artist to be featured on the Spotify's Top 20, and Vai Malandra - song that besides breaking all Brazilian streaming records, was the first Brazilian ranked in the Top 25 Global Charts on Spotify.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, the singer has been conquering an international reach. In the Netflix series, fans will have the chance to see her in intimate moments and understand how the singer has been building up and managing her career, without losing her essence and love for her home country.

About Anitta:

Anitta is Brazil's biggest star. In 2017 her smash hit "Paradinha" debuted at no. 2 on Brazil Billboard's Hot Pop & Popular chart and took the top spot in its second week, overtaking "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi, Justin Bieber, and Daddy Yankee. With a foot in the door in the international scene, Anitta was the Global Top Producer in the first year of Instagram Stories. With a strong presence on social media, she has 9 million YouTube subscribers, 15 million Spotify listeners, 29.4 million Instagram followers, and her focus set on becoming one of the biggest entertainers in the world.
