Patrick Brice to Direct "There's Someone Inside Your House" for Netflix
The film combines two different beloved teenage genres: the slashers that came to prominence in the 80's & 90's and the character-driven coming of age classics a la John Hughes' films and "American Graffiti."

PATRICK BRICE TO DIRECT "THERE'S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE" FOR NETFLIX

Director: Patrick Brice (Creep, The Overnight)

Brice is a writer/director best known for The Overnight starring Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling as well as Creep and Creep 2 starring himself and Mark Duplass. He most recently directed Corporate Animals starring Demi Moore and Ed Helms which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival in the Midnight Section and will be in theaters later this year.

Writer: Henry Gayden based on the NYT best-selling novel by Stephanie Perkins

Perkins is the New York Times and internationally bestselling YA author of multiple novels including Anna and the French Kiss. She has long loved the horror genre, and pays homage to several of the classics with this novel.

Gayden most recently wrote the DC film Shazam with New Line and their Lights Out director David Sandberg, which opens April 5th.

Gayden recently sold his a pitch to adapt Last Human by author Lee Bacon into a film for Phil Lord & Chris Miller to direct and produce. The project landed at Sony/Tristar after a multi-studio bidding war.

Producers: Shawn Levy's 21 Laps & James Wan's Atomic Monster are partnering on the project with Levy & Wan producing alongside 21 Laps' Dan Cohen and Atomic Monster's Michael Clear.

21 Laps' upcoming TV projects for Netflix under its overall deal include: the highly-anticipated third season of Stranger Things, the rebooted Unsolved Mysteries series, a series based on the best-selling Shadow and Bone fantasy novels, and the coming-of-age series I Am Not Okay With This

Atomic Monster has two films slated for release in 2019: The Curse of La Llorona for New Line Cinema and the third chapter in the Annabelle series, from The Conjuring Universe, also for New Line. Also upcoming is WBTV's Swamp Thing, which will stream on DC Universe.
