EMPEROR OF MALIBU, THE (CBS) - Max Willems has scored a lead role on the comedy pilot, about when Auggie (Willems), "the son of a Chinese billionaire (Ken Jeong), announces his engagement to an American woman, his outrageous family descends upon the couple to win their son back and test drive the American dream." Said casting is in first position to his Amazon pilot, "College." (Deadline.com)
IS THERE STILL SEX IN THE CITY? (New!) - Candace Bushnell is looking to bring her upcoming book, a follow-up to "Sex and the City," to the small screen. 3dot Productions, Paramount Television and Anonymous Content are behind the project, which Bushnell will write and executive produce alongside Liza Chasin and Robyn Meisinger. SNOWPIERCER (TNT) - Rowan Blanchard has been tapped for a role on the feature-turned-TV series as Alexandra, "a self-assured 17-year-old, wise beyond her years, with mysterious connections to the history of Snowpiercer." Said role has the option to become a regular on a potential second season. (Deadline.com)
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN (CBS) - Adhir Kalyan has been cast in the comedy pilot, about Evan (Michael Angarano), who sets out with his group of 20-something friends to accomplish a list of challenges he wrote for himself years ago in an effort to turn around his banal life. He'll play Evan's best friend Tanner, replacing the previously cast Raymond Ablack. (Deadline.com)
UNDOING, THE (HBO) - Edgar Ramirez and Lily Rabe are both bound for the limited series as Joe Mendoza and Sylvia Steinetz, respectively. No other specifics were given about their characters. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED GAME OF THRONES SPIN-OFF PROJECT (HBO) - Marquis Rodriguez, John Simm, Richard McCabe, John Heffernan and Dixie Egerickx will round out the cast of the top secret prequel pilot. As usual, no other details were given. Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, Toby Regbo and Miranda Richardson also star.
