'JBFA: STORIES FROM THE 2019 JAMES BEARD AWARDS,' SHOWCASING THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS IN THE AMERICAN CULINARY INDUSTRY, PREMIERES SUNDAY, MAY 19, ON ABC

A one-hour special from the James Beard Foundation (JBF) and Intersport, "JBFA: Stories from the 2019 James Beard Awards," will premiere on The ABC Television Network, SUNDAY, MAY 19 (4:00-5:00 p.m. EDT/3:00-4:00 p.m. PDT). In the 2019 television special, the prestigious James Beard Awards gala event is highlighted during an hour-long special. Audiences will experience the drama, excitement and celebration of the 2019 James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards Gala, hosted by "Modern Family"'s Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

The show includes highlights of awards throughout the evening, including Regional Best Chef winners, America's Classics Honorees, Leadership Award Honorees, Lifetime Achievement Honoree Patrick O'Connell, Humanitarian of the Year Honoree The Giving Kitchen, and culminates with the award for Outstanding Chef.

The 2019 Awards are headlined by the James Beard Foundation's emphasis on "Good Food For Good," which stresses the positive impact that culinary professionals can make on their communities and throughout the world.
