"SAMANTHA!" IS BACK: MORE MATURE. WAY LESS FAMOUS.

São Paulo, April 17th, 2019 - Fans of the most dysfunctional Brazilian family will have a fun weekend ahead in front of the TV. Samantha!, Netflix's first local sitcom, is back for a second season, packed with 7 episodes of pure delight, sticky-bubble gum musics, and absurdities. The show premieres globally on Netflix this Friday (19).

This season, Samantha (Emanuelle Arajo) decides it's time to grow up. Now, she needs to prove to everyone that besides being the Most Beloved Child in Brazil, she can be a professional, a mother and a mature wife. But growing up is more complicated than Samantha expected, and she will have to ask herself: how to mature without losing her essence? Dodi (Douglas Silva) seeks new goals while trying to overcome the past decade of his life. Convinced only of what he doesn't want, Dodi needs to rethink his image, his career and his family, discovering that to find the answer to his future it is not enough to please everyone.

Meanwhile, Cindy (Sabrina Nonata) is torn between the mission of being the voice of her generation and getting into the scary territory of adolescence. Her brother Brandon (Cauã Gonçalves), at the height of his nine-year maturity, forgets to be a child as he wants to always be ahead of his age. Brandon goes deep into the rabbit hole of his early mid-childhood crisis, then realizes that part of growing up is just living in the present.

Zezeh Barbosa (Sob Pressão, A Vila), playing Socorro, Mariana Xavier (A Força do Querer, Gostosas, Lindas e Sexies), living Leonora, and Alessandra Maestrini (Eu, minha av e a boi, Duas de Mim) as Carmen Vecino join the returning cast from the first season, including Daniel Furlan, Rodrigo Pandolfo, Maurcio Xavier, Ary França and Lorena Comparato, among others. Nicole Bahls, Luciana Gimenez, Gabi Lopes and Luiza Altenhofen are among the special appearances.

Produced by Losbragas for Netflix, Samantha! S2 is directed by Luis Pinheiro and Olivia Guimarães, and executively produced by Felipe Braga and Rita Moraes, with scripts by Rafael Lessa, Paula Knudsen, Filipe Valerim and Fbio Montanari.
