The project, which has a pilot commitment, is based on Jeff Pearlman's book of the same name, subtitled "Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s." Production is scheduled to begin this summer with Kevin Messick and Jason Shuman also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
