NAKED DIRECTOR, THE (Netflix) - Jade Albany has been tapped to star in the upcoming 1980s series as Allison Mandy, "formerly a top porn star who is attempting a comeback. She acts like a diva but her back is against the wall. Receiving an offer to star in a crazy, daring Japanese adult video, she reluctantly takes the job, but things don't turn out as she expects." Takayuki Yamada plays the title role, Toru Muranishi, "a director and determined entrepreneur who was developing adult videos at the beginning of the industry and challenging Japanese old-fashioned cultural norms about sex." OCEANS (Netflix, New!) - Freeborne Media and James Honeyborne have booked a new documentary series at the streaming service which "will tell the stories of the oceans of the planet, which cover 70% of the globe yet so little is known about each ocean's unique character." Production will begin later this year. No other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
