BOOK OF ENCHANTMENT (Disney+) - The streaming service has opted not to move forward with the proposed series, based on Serena Valentino's novels featuring some of Disney's most popular villains. Said report points to creative concerns being the issue. A writers' room had been opened in anticipation of a series green light. (Deadline.com)
BOSCH (Amazon) - Carter MacIntyre, Adam J. Harrington and Terrence Terrell are all bound for the upcoming season. MacIntyre will play Clifford Maxwell, "an FBI agent who is working on a case in Bosch's district that involves the theft of a toxic chemical"; with Harrington as Jack Brenner, "an FBI special agent in charge of the investigation into a murder on Bosch's turf who hopes to cooperate with Bosch in an exchange for information"; and Terrell as Marvel, "a Jamaican gangster." BRIDGEWATER TRIANGLE, THE (FX, New!) - Brian Miller has sold a small screen take on his short story to the cable channel, billed as "an apocalyptic horror thriller" about "an actual area of well-documented supernatural activity that covers 17 small towns and 200 square miles of New England." FX Productions-based 26 Keys is behind the hour with the company's Noah Hawley executive producing. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Michael Beach is slated to recur on the veteran drama as Darius Walker, "a Chicago crime boss who's working to revitalize his African American community." (TVLine.com)
DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (The CW) - Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford will bow out as series regulars during the upcoming fifth season. Routh's Ray Palmer has been part of the series since its inception while Ford, Routh's wife, was named a regular last season. No details about their respective exits were given. (Deadline.com)
IMAGINEERING STORY, THE (A.K.A. UNTITLED WALT DISNEY IMAGINEERING DOCUMENTARY SERIES) (Disney+) - Angela Bassett has been tapped to narrate the six-part series, which chronicles the 65+-year history of Walt Disney Imagineering with parallel storylines of the people, the craft, and the business. MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, THE (Amazon) - "Gilmore Girls" alumnus Liza Weil will reunite with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino on the new season of the series in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (TVLine.com)
OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES (FOX, New!) - Sarah Michelle Gellar is attached to star in a potential dramedy at the network billed as "the story of nine people, living on a bucolic street, in the quiet, affluent neighborhood of Larchmont Village in Los Angeles. Using the lens of social media, our characters navigate their way through emotional ups and downs, as they try to figure out their lives as partners, parents, friends, and neighbors." Gellar would play Anne Porter, one of the two leads, a working mother. Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder are behind the project, which is based on the book by Abbi Waxman. Universal Television and FOX Entertainment are co-producing with Gellar, Charmelo, Snyder, Neil Meron and Mark Nicholson executive producing. (Deadline.com)
PHILLY REIGN (USA, New!) - JaNeika and JaSheika James have sold a 1980s drama to the cable channel based on "the true story of Thelma Wright who, following the 1977 murder of her husband, a major player in the Philadelphia drug game, became a gangster queen of the Pennsylvania city, transporting cocaine and heroin between Los Angeles and Philadelphia." Entertainment One and Universal Content Productions are behind the project with Charles Murray, Blue Butterfly Productions' Mary J. Blige and Creative Engine Entertainment's Drew Comins also among the executive producers. Thelma Wright herself and Jacky Wright will serve as co-executive producers, as will Ashaunna Ayars and Q. Nicole Jackson. (Deadline.com)
UNDERGROUND RAILROAD, THE (Amazon) - William Jackson Harper has been tapped to recur on the newcomer as Royal, "a freeborn black man who Cora encounters on her epic journey." (Deadline.com)
