13 REASONS WHY (Netflix) - Gary Sinise has joined the cast of the show's final season as Dr. Robert Ellman, "a compassionate, incisive, no-nonsense adolescent and family therapist who works to help Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) battle anxiety, depression, and grief. Formidable, intense, and deeply humane, Ellman is steadfast in guiding Clay to accept the help he needs so desperately, to come to terms with the trauma in his past, and begin the process of healing." (Deadline.com)
BOYS, THE (Amazon) - Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit have both snagged roles on the upcoming season as Alistair Adana, "the charismatic and shadowy leader of a mysterious church"; and Victoria Neuman, "a young wunderkind congresswoman," respectively. (Deadline.com)
DYNASTY (The CW) - Ken Kirby is the latest addition to the new season as Evan Tate, "Trixie's (Jessi Goei) older brother." (Deadline.com)

HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN (ABC, New!) - Duane Adler has received a put pilot commitment for a potential drama described as "a Romeo and Juliet-style soap about two feuding families set against the backdrop of the famous New Orleans night club." Studio71's Michael Schreiber and David Devries will also executive produce the hour for Entertainment One while singer-songwriter Raphael Saadiq will contribute music. (Deadline.com)
MADAM SECRETARY (CBS) - Wentworth Miller and Michael Patrick Thornton both will recur on the show's final season. The former will play Senator Mark Hanson, "chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. As such, he's a major power broker who has substantial influence on Capitol Hill (aka not the best person to have as an adversary)." The latter then is Captain Evan Moore, "chief of staff to First Gentleman Henry McCord. Thornton's character is an Army veteran who served three deployments in Iraq with the 2nd Battalion/7th Cavalry. On his fourth tour, he encountered an IED that left him in a wheelchair." (TVLine.com)
MANDALORIAN, THE (Disney+) - Julia Jones has been tapped for a role on the top secret "Star Wars" series. (Deadline.com)
MR. CORMAN (Apple TV+, New!) - Joseph Gordon-Levitt is attached to write, direct, executive produce and star in a new comedy series at the company described as "a deep cut into the days and nights of a public schoolteacher (Gordon-Levitt) in the San Fernando Valley." A24 is behind the project, which has opened a writers' room. No other auspices however were given. (Deadline.com)
MS. PAT SHOW, THE (Hulu) - Theodore Barnes, Briyana Guadalupe and Vince Swann have all been cast in the multi-camera comedy pilot starring Patricia "Ms. Pat" Williams. Barnes will play Junebug, "Ms. Pat's youngest kid"; with Guadalupe as Janelle, "Ms. Pat's daughter"; and Swann as Brandon, "Ms. Pat's oldest son." (Deadline.com)
RESIDENT, THE (FOX) - David Alan Grier has booked a recurring role on the upcoming season as Lamar Broome, "a larger-than-life businessman with a prideful manner and substantial ego - not unlike the son he gave up for adoption 35 years ago. But after he's diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, Lamar is desperate to reconnect with AJ, hoping to find a love and connection that he lacks with the children he raised." (TVLine.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Mishel Prada has been tapped for an arc on the series as Hermosa, "a Miami-born and -raised private investigator who arrives in town in classic femme fatale fashion. Hermosa is confident, ambitious and calculating - and knows that everything comes with a price." (THR.com)
SHAMELESS (Showtime) - Chelsea Rendon is bound for the upcoming season as Anne, "the charismatic - and dangerously fun - new coworker of Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) at Captain Bob's. Early on, the two have contentious relationship but then she shows Carl a different perspective on being poor on the South Side." (Deadline.com)
