Ovation's Journy Goes Glamping in Deal with TVF International

OVATION'S JOURNY GOES GLAMPING IN DEAL WITH TVF INTERNATIONAL

AVOD Travel and Culture Channel Also Picks Up Vanishing Foods with Food Blogger Aun Koh

NATPE / Miami, FL - January 22, 2020 Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has acquired the exclusive U.S. digital rights of two titles for its expanding AVOD travel and culture channel JOURNY from leading independent distributor, TVF International. Glamping Adventures (8 x 30') explores remarkable eco-tourism experiences, while Vanishing Foods (8 x 30') takes a look at disappearing traditional culinary recipes. Both titles from Singapore's leading media company and public broadcaster, Mediacorp, will be making their U.S. premieres on JOURNY in 2020. The announcement was made today by Elba Flamenco, VP of Platforms and Content, Ovation.

Glamping Adventures: Glamorous camping, or 'glamping', is fast becoming a lifestyle trend. And where better to do it than in exotic locations across Asia? In each episode of this stunning series, pairs of glampers get away from it all through unforgettable, eco-tourism experiences; from mobile yurts in Mongolia and floating tents in Cambodia, to a leopard trail camp in Sri Lanka.

Vanishing Foods: As Asian societies hurtle towards urbanization and modernization, the chase for greater convenience, speed and efficiency never ends. Where then, does that leave our traditional culinary heirlooms - century-old dishes that demand time and patience, yet trigger memories of delight, and espouse the wisdom of health and nutrition? Aun Koh, one of Singapore's foremost food bloggers who goes by the moniker of Chubby Hubby, tracks down the guardians of these disappearing recipes. He uncovers the stories behind our changing food culture, as he learns to cook these dishes. Through creativity, Aun pays homage to these traditions by giving the foods a modern twist - entrenching them not only in history, but also in the here and now.
