BJÖRN GUSTAFSSON, ADAM LUNDGREN, HANNA BJÖRN, VILHELM BLOMGREN AND SANDRA ILAR STARRING SWEDISH NETFLIX ORIGINAL "CLARK" TOGETHER WITH BILL SKARSGÅRD

November 9, 2020 - In May 2020 it was revealed that Bill Skarsgård will play Swedish criminal Clark Olofsson in the new limited Netflix series Clark, directed and written by Jonas Åkerlund. Today saw the announcement of additional cast.

Joining Bill Skarsgård are Adam Lundgren, Sandra Ilar, Malin Levanon, Vilhelm Blomgren, Peter Viitanen, Hanna Björn, Isabelle Grill, Björn Gustafsson, Robin Nazari and Alicia Agneson.

The cast also includes Linus Wahlgren, Alexander Karim, Christoffer Nordenrot, Daniel Hallberg, Rachel Mohlin, Henrik Lundström, Arja Saijonmaa, Hans Erik Dyvik Husby, Agnes Lindström, Babben Larsson, Peter Järn, Henrik Hjelt, Peter Apelgren, Staffan Kihlbom Thor, Rikard Ulvshammar, Freja Beha Erichsen, Amalie Bruun, Wilson Gonzalez and Kolbjörn Skarsgård, who plays Clark Olofsson as a 6-year old.

Jonas Åkerlund, director and writer: "As a director I'm always looking for strong characters, and Clark's life and story is filled with absorbing and colorful characters. Casting the right actors to fill these roles was key and I'm super pleased to have this amazing all star cast, down to the smallest roles.

The world that revolves around Clark, the people who were affected by him, who shaped him, who put him behind bars, who loved him, each one has their own strong personality and unique experience. I'm so pleased we have brought these characters to life with an incredible all star cast.

Without such a talented cast, we wouldn't be able to tell the story of how a black hole like Clark can suck colorful individuals into his center of gravity. They really complete the story of the Stockholm Syndrome."

Based on the truth and lies revealed in Clark Olofsson's autobiography, the Swedish language series will follow Clark from his early years to present day. The notorious gangster started his criminal career in the 1960s and became one of the most controversial personalities in contemporary Swedish history. Convicted of several counts of drug trafficking, attempted murder, assault, theft and dozens of bank robberies, he has spent more than half his life behind bars and has left behind a trail of trauma, heartbreak, disappointment and general devastation. In the 1970s Clark inspired the concept of "The Stockholm Syndrome" during a failed bank robbery in Stockholm - and has ever since kept his position as celebrity criminal fooling all of Sweden to fall in love with him. Just like he desired.

Clark will be produced by Scandinavian Content Group and is directed by Jonas Åkerlund.
