Special Will Feature Performances from Iconic Music Venues in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York City with Special Guest Appearances by Bruce Springsteen, John Legend and Ringo Starr

CBS today announced that LL COOL J featuring DJ Z-Trip, Sara Bareilles, Emily King and Pedrito Martinez have been added to the superstar lineup of artists with special guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, John Legend and Ringo Starr during the one-hour concert special, PLAY ON: CELEBRATING THE POWER OF MUSIC TO MAKE CHANGE, to be broadcast on a new date and time, Tuesday, Dec. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live on CBS All Access. The special will also be available to stream on YouTube after the initial broadcast, at 9:00 PM, PT. The benefit concert special, hosted by Kevin Bacon and Eve, will raise funds for two long-standing and vital philanthropic organizations, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) and WhyHunger, through the Play On fund created by Sixdegrees.org, by amplifying awareness for transformational racial, social and food justice. During the broadcast, viewers can donate to the organizations by texting the code "PLAYON" to 44-321.

This memorable concert special will feature three stellar music lineups spanning genres from country and rock to hip hop and jazz/funk, with exciting artists just added to the performance lineups in New York City and Los Angeles. LL COOL J featuring DJ Z-Trip will now take over the hip hop portion of the lineup in what will be a magnetic performance at the famed Troubadour in Los Angeles. Also, additional artists at Apollo Theater in New York include Sara Bareilles, Emily King, Pedrito Martinez and Steve Jordan for a powerful and moving collaboration.

As previously announced, artists performing at the Troubadour include Gary Clark Jr. and Ziggy Marley with Andra Day. Artists at the legendary Apollo Theater include an electric performance by Jon Batiste, Machine Gun Kelly and an exclusive performance by Bon Jovi and artists at the historic Bluebird Café include Sheryl Crow, Maren Morris and Yola featuring The Highwomen.
