ANATOMY OF A SCANDAL (Netflix) - Ben Radcliffe will recur on the Sienna Miller/Michelle Dockery-led anthology series as play Young James. The Older James is played by Rupert Friend. (Deadline.com)
DEXTER LIMITED SERIES (Showtime) - Clancy Brown has signed onto the revival season as its proposed villain, Kurt Caldwell, "the unofficial mayor of the small town of Iron Lake." (TVLine.com)
OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH (HBO Max) - Rhys Darby has been tapped to star in Taika Waititi's upcoming comedy series, which is loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet, a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate. He'll play the aforementioned Bonnet, "a well-to-do gentleman farmer and child of wealth who suffers a midlife crisis and becomes captain of Revenge, a pirate ship in the early 18th century." SON IN LAW, THE (ABC, New!) - Ajay Sahgal has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet in which "a salt of the earth man finds himself seeking the approval of his new fiancé's sophisticated parents, even as he remains a difficult-to-impress father-in-law to his daughter's husband." The Detective Agency's Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar will also executive produce for 20th Television. (Deadline.com)
TIES THAT BIND (NBC, New!) - Deirdre Shaw is developing a drama at the network based on Elizabeth Coleman's book-turned-play-turned-Australian mini-series "Secret Bridesmaids' Business." The project, from Keshet Studios and Universal Television, is described as "an elevated soapy thriller in which three women make a promise to one another that leads them to embark on dangerous secrets that threaten to implode their lives." Peter Traugott, Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Julie McGauran, Maryanne Carroll and Amanda Crittenden also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
