Emmy(R) Award-winning "RuPaul's Drag Race" presents special documentary: "RuPaul's Drag Race: Corona Can't Keep A Good Queen Down" airing Friday, February 26th at 8 PM ET/PT on VH1

Unseen footage and personal stories from the queens capture the resilience and ingenuity of the beloved series filmed during unprecedented times

NEW YORK, NY - February 17, 2021 - VH1 today announced a special documentary event, RuPaul's Drag Race: Corona Can't Keep A Good Queen Down, exploring how the Emmy(R) Award-winning "RuPaul's Drag Race" taped its historic 13th season during the COVID-19 pandemic. Producers at World of Wonder bring their decades of award-winning documentary filmmaking pedigree to the special episode airing Friday, February 26 at 8PM ET/PT on VH1.

The stand-alone documentary captures the raw emotions surrounding the extraordinary experience; from the combination of hope and anxiety of the early days, to creative challenges prepping and executing the show, and an ultimate sense of celebration and gratitude.

In the face of a global pandemic that shutdown film and television production around the world, the resilience and ingenuity of this season's queens made herstory as one of the very first productions to be shot in the age of COVID-19. RuPaul's Drag Race: Corona Can't Keep A Good Queen Down features vulnerable interviews with the queens, never-before-seen footage, casting reels, and striking photography from set. With the new protocols in place, the judges panel welcomed guests from its extended Drag Race family, including actress Cynthia Erivo (Genius: Aretha), Jamal Sims (Disney's Aladdin), Nicole Byer (Nailed It!), Loni Love (Soul Plane), as well as featured actresses Anne Hathaway and Scarlett Johansson remotely.

Don't miss an all-new episode of RuPaul's Drag Race this Friday, February 19 at 8PM ET/PT when queens must record lyrics and learn choreography as they perform in Social Media: The Unverified Rusical. Choreographer Jamal Sims (Disney's Aladdin) guest judges; Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada) makes a virtual appearance in the werkroom. The competition will continue on Friday, March 5 at 8PM ET/PT. The remaining queens will impersonate celebrities in the legendary "Snatch Game." LGBTQ+ activist TS Madison returns as guest judge.

The Season 13 cast includes Denali (Chicago, IL), Elliott with 2 Ts (Las Vegas, NV), Gottmik (Los Angeles, CA), Joey Jay (Phoenix, AZ), Kahmora Hall (Chicago, IL), Kandy Muse (New York, NY), LaLa Ri (Atlanta, GA), Olivia Lux (New York, NY), Rosé (New York, NY), Symone (Los Angeles, CA), Tamisha Iman (Atlanta, GA), Tina Burner (New York, NY), and Utica Queen (Minneapolis, MN).
