From the Six West Media group(TM), a non-fiction studio owned by A+E Networks, the programming tells the history of the brilliant and sometimes ruthless visionaries behind innovations such as: the passenger jet, the television and power tools in "The Machines That Built America," iconic products like Monopoly(R) and G.I. Joe(R) in "The Toys That Built America," and epic builds like the Panama Canal, the Transcontinental Railroad, and the Hoover Dam in "The Engineering That Built the World." Joining the strand for a second installment from the creators of the popular docuseries "The Men Who Built America" is "The Titans That Built America," executive produced by Appian Way Productions' Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson and Stephen David Entertainment. The miniseries event, airing across three consecutive nights beginning on Monday, May 31 at 9pm ET/PT, details the rivalry of the next generation of American titans - Henry Ford, JP Morgan Jr., William Chrysler, William Boeing and Pierre DuPont, who fought each other and FDR to build billion-dollar empires in automobiles, airplanes, arms and skyscrapers only to come together to defeat Adolf Hitler in World War II.
The announcement comes off the heels of the successful premiere of season two of "The Food That Built America," which chronicles the origin stories behind the titans who fought their way to the top of the food chain and tells the fascinating history of the rivalries between some of food's most beloved brands such as Pizza Hut(R), Oreo(R), Kraft(R), McDonalds(R), Fritos(R), Heinz(R) and more.
