CHUCKY (Syfy/USA) - Barbara Alyn Woods has been cast as Mayor Michelle Cross in the feature-turned-TV series: "In addition to "maintaining Hackensack's safe image with the rising tide of mysterious violence, which she has no idea has been caused by a child's doll," Michelle is also concerned for her two young daughters Lexy (played by her real-life daughter Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Caroline." (TVLine.com)
FRIENDS (HBO Max) - The much-ballyhooed unscripted reunion special will begin taping in Los Angeles next week. (Deadline.com)
GOLDBERS, THE (ABC) - The series will air the final episode featuring the late George Segal, who played Albert "Pops" Solomon, on April 7. Said installment will be followed by a 45-second tribute to Segal. (Variety.com)
PIECES OF HER (Netflix) - Nicholas Burton and Aaron Jeffery are the latest bound for the dramatic thriller series. Burton plays Andrew Queller, "the younger son of Martin Queller (Terry O'Quinn) and the idealist of the family"; while Jeffery is "a mysterious and potentially dangerous character that appears in Laura (Toni Collette) and Andy's (Bella Heathcote) life after a random act of violence sets off an unexpected chain of events." (Deadline.com)
RIGHT STUFF, THE (Disney+) - The streamer has passed on a second season for its Mercury 7 period drama. The news marks Disney+'s first scripted series cancellation. Producer Warner Bros. Television plans to shop the project elsewhere. (Deadline.com)
YOUNG ROCK (NBC) - Dominic Goodman will guest on the show's April 6 episode: "When Dwayne Johnson (Uli Latukefu) gets an on-campus job working for the University of Miami Phone Services Department, he's partnered with his new work partner, Hopkins, a veteran of the job "for almost a year." They start off at odds, Hopkins having no interest in babysitting a "rookie," but they soon find common ground in their love of action movies. Meanwhile, Lia (Ana Tuisila) returns to the United States after being deported to Samoa, where she was homeless." (Variety.com)
